Located on beautiful Guysborough Harbour, Skipping Stone Cafe & Store is located in the historic Hart Building (circa 1913) across the courtyard from the Rare Bird Pub & Eatery and above the Guysborough Marina. The Cafe features fresh roasted organic, fair trade espresso and drip coffees from the Full Steam Coffee Company, home-style baking and gelato from the Harbour Belle Bakery, sandwiches and soups. The store has a selection of special Nova Scotia gifts, clothing, music and photography as well as canoe, sea kayak and bicycle rentals.

You want to book ahead to make sure you get the kayaks you need and you want to get there early because the ocean is more calm in the morning. Stopped here on our travels of beautiful Nova Scotia . Immaculate building with an amazing interior ... A large glass table encases a hand built canoe. Wow! This is the sort of cafe you could linger in for a whole afternoon - a great chill-out place. Good selection of cakes as well
