Cabot Trail Discovery Tour

20 reviews
The Cabot Trail Discovery Tour explores Nova Scotia’s most iconic road trip. From the rugged coastlines and majestic mountains to the charming small fishing villages, this tour provides breathtaking viewpoints, endless photo opportunities, and local culinary experiences.<br>We follow the coastline as we climb and descend mountains and traverse the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Picturesque examples of typical Nova Scotian fishing villages dot the Cabot Trail’s winding roads. Hear the crash of the ocean against the craggy stone shorelines, feel the sand between your toes, and smell the salt air at the many coastal stops along the 300-kilometre journey.

One side of the trail is rough and steep with the other side a much easier walk. Not a hike for those with mobility issues. During the hike there are many places with wonderful views with the most rewarding at the end of the trail.

This is a short 2 Kms with stunning ocean views all around you. The trail is fairly easy except where water erosion has occurred and no maintenance has been taken to fix, which made the steepest section quite tricky.

Dip in and out of the nooks and crannies to engage this beautiful hike. At the beginning, you feel like you are on a strenuous climb up, but after that it's the rewards of gorgeous views. We took an outer route for a longer hike and were able to see some often missed views. If you do this wear good hiking gear as you are navigating less obvious trails.

On a misty/rainy day - this was a hiker’s dream! Traveling with two kids (9 and 5) they had no trouble and enjoyed all the neat look out points and terrain. The lookouts were breathtaking.

Beautiful scenic walk with sea views. Rugged trail, but full of interest and unexpected views. One of the best trails in Cape Breton in our opinion. Thistles, wild raspberries, and beautiful views, topped by an end of the world ocean view at the end of the trail. Worth the 1 hour to 90 minute walk as it keeps your interest throughout.
