What an amazing hike- if time for just one do this hike - the views are incredible and we were lucky to see a moose along the trail. What a great day!

The park was absolutely amazing. We weren't thrilled about the extent of road work going on (and the apparent solution of just driving off road next to the construction). The park was still worth the hassle. We had some great hikes and beautiful views. Generally...More

We spent 4 days on Cape Breton, tried to cover all famous trails and were not disappointed. Met moose close distance twice! Sunset on Skyline trail was just amazing. Trail by Keltic lodge was a bit out of the way but definitely worth the trip.

Beautiful Park. We drove thru it on the Cabot Trail. It would be nice if they could just charge by the car, instead of by person for a day pass tho, but I understand, I guess.

The highlight for the 4 in our group was the Skyline Trail located just north of Cheticamp. Walking to the ridge gives a spectacular view of the ocean and coast looking south toward Cheticamp. A must do for anyone into hiking. Saw 2 moose along...More

Even if you don't hike, drive the Cabot Trail. Such great views! Lots of viewing points so you can stop along the way and take pictures.

Be sure to do Skyline Trail if you can only do one. It's good for families and the trail provides options for out and back and loop time permitting. Spectacular views can be found either way. Moose cautions are prevalent. We did see one keeping...More

The park itself if open 24/7 obviously. You can drive through it all year round and camp/stop in any designated camping spot whenever if you have a pass. However, to obtain a Parks Canada pass from the park itself (there are... More
