The ride a little rough but worth the drive to the lighthouse. Cows are friendly lol. Nice views and see Cheticamp across the water. You dont need a SUV to drive the dirt road just pay attention to pot holes and cows

Drove on Cheticamp Island yesterday to go see this lighthouse. The dirt road that leads you there is in rough condition, I do not recommend this road if you are in a small car. Once at the lighthouse, there is a fence that prohibits you from going further to have a nice photo. I do not really recommend this drive unless you are bored and have a good vehicle.

Interesting lighthouse, but pretty remote from the town. It was rainy and stormy. We were happy to be in a Jeep driving thru the cows and goats...

We headed over to the Enragee Point Lighthouse to have look. Yes the road is gravel and is rough in places, and yes the car was dusty after the trip, but I am thankful that the road is made available to us tourists. Watch for what we westerners call cow pies on the road! Worth the drive for the great views.

We had some time to kill, so decided to drive out to Cheticamp Island to see what was there. The light house itself is kind of run down and enclosed by a chain link fence, so not much to look at. We did enjoy the drive through the common pasture area, en route to the light house. There are no fences, so watch out for cattle, sheep, etc. crossing the road. We also saw quite a number of blue herons wading just offshore.
