Dad had built this wonderful schooner and son now cared for it well. Although a sailing boat we had little wind so mainly had to motor. You go out past the island with cormorants and seals then on round to the Peninsular where Alexander Graham Bell's house is. John knows so much about this place and tells it, and his... More

This tour was so much fun! A lot of laughs, wildlife, sights, and beautiful views. It was well organized, just the right amount of time. Well worth it - get down to the dock and sign up early!

This is one of the best things to do in Cape Breton with Captain John at the helm. He is totally entertaining as he cruises around the beautiful bay. You can't have a better cocktail cruise than this!!

We were on a beautiful indian summer day for a 1 hour tour with the Caravan tour. If you want to see an eagle close up in action - there is nothing like it. John and his staff were fantastic. A must do in Baddeck.

We were looking for something to do with our 83 year old mother who can't walk long distances. The local information centre suggested the Amoeba and we are so glad that they did! The Captain has a great sense of humour and a good heart. He obviously loves children so don't hesitate to take them aboard! He is a wealth... More

The captain was so funny, at one point he pulls out a book called sailing for dummies. The other fellows were also so nice and made us laugh also. At one point they throw fish in the water and eagles come and eat them. got a real good picture of this.

Great way to spend part of your day at Baddeck The captain is very knowledgeable and informative about the area. See bald eagles up close... Sail past Alexander Graham Bell's former home. Excellent view from the water. We saw many birds and some harbour seals. Very enjoyable 1.5 hour sailing trip.

This wasn't even on our radar for Baddeck, but on our first day in Baddeck we walked down to the dock area and the sailing ship looked so pretty and the price was right ($28 incl tax). The later sailing was sold out so we just jumped on the one departing (last ones aboard) Just walk down to the dock... More

This was a great experience and memorable. The crew was fun and informative. They limit it to 40 people so do make reservations. Our group of four seniors rated it a do not miss. We saw close Eagles, felt the sideways tilt and power of the sails. What a beautiful sight!
