Relatively easy. We did it with a group of 8. Wonderful! The falls are beautiful and would be a great place to picnic.

Short hike along a brook to big rocks and a view up to the falls. You can't get too close, but good enough for a picture. This is not a stroll. The path has LOTS of roots to step over or slip on, so you spend most of the hike looking down to avoid tripping. The loop is almost entirely... More

We were recommended this walk by our hosts at our B&B. It's a long drive north of Baddeck to get there and you think you will never reach it. It's well worth the drive there as it is peaceful and the waterfall is a surprise when you eventually find it.

We spent 1 hour walking the trails here to see the falls. There is a map on the board at the trailhead. To form a loop hike, we chose to take the right path first, then cut through to the path for the falls, then back on the most direct route to the parking lot. There are many “You Are... More

On a cloudy October day, hubby and I decided to do this hike, it was a very easy hike. Views at the end were amazing. We hiked up further to see all of the highest fall. Well worth it.

There were 4 mature ladies on this hike and we had fun. The path was a bit muddy in spots, a bit unstable in spots, but it's not a hard climb. I'm 73 and had no problems going up or down. The up is marginal but be aware of tree roots which could spoil the whole hike if you trip.... More

We took this relatively easy hike (walk) through the trails to the falls. It was an enjoyable hike that wasn't too strenuous. Fairly level walk until you get closer to the falls where there is a manageable steep climb over rocks to the falls. Loved the sound of rushing waters and the natural beauty of the environment. It had rained... More

I recommend you take just the loop, not the climb up the mountain, if you're not looking for a challenging climb over rocks and roots. A bit of a drive from Baddeck - be alert and watch for signs. But if you're here anyway to shop... why not? It's a good hour and a half walk. First part along the... More

We went here for a hike. You can go directly to the falls or make a circle to it which makes it a little longer and follows a river. You do not really need hiking shoes but you do need good sturdy shoes. There are many tree roots to avoid and it can be a little muddy and perhaps slippery.... More

A 15-20 minute drive from Baddeck gets you to this Provincial Park, no fee. The last 2 miles are on a maintained dirt road. Main Fall River Trail is about 2 miles round trip. Fairly flat at the beginning, with some tree roots on the path. Closer to the falls it is a bit steeper with rocks. Not that difficult,... More
