Historic blacksmith shop
Jul 2019 • Couples
The Green family worked as blacksmiths here from the 1750s to 1955. The blacksmith here showed me how he could make a pendant for me. They had on display several items that they made. It is similar to other blacksmith's shops that I have seen but it is a dying art and worthwhile to keep it alive.

Looks interesting, price tag a bit hefty ($20 for the Trinity pass)
Jun 2019 • Family
When walking through Trinity, we came across the Green Family Forge, which really looked interesting (albeit a bit too dark inside). However, the attendant on site mentioned that the only way to get in was to buy a $20 per-person pass from a building located 5-10min away by foot (Trinity Historical Society). I'm sure the pass does give you access to other sites/attractions in town. However, given our limited time in Trinity, + having already bought the provincial pass which DOES give you access to some of the buildings in Trinity (e.g. Hiscock House), I wasn't prepared to shell out $20 for this attraction. To be honest, I was quite surprised that they didn't offer a rate just for visiting the Forge :(

Lovely place to see how metal is manoeuvred
Jun 2019 • Family
The people here were really nice and showed us how they heat the metal and bend it. Unfortunately this is a part of a tour and you can only enter it by taking part in the tour. We are people to wander around at our own pace and was put off by the tour. Great people, nice things for purchase. Thanks

Don't miss
Jun 2019 • Friends
We took a historic walking tour of the town and stopped here because it was on the map. Thinking we'd seen blacksmithing shops and demos before, we weren't expecting to stay long. But then the blacksmith started working and chatting with us about what he was doing and we were hooked. He did a terrific job and explaining and demonstrating his craft and we loved it.

Wonderful
Jun 2019 • Friends
This was so wonderful to see and learn about. My grandfather was a blacksmith - but not to these proportions!!! So interesting to learn about the family that passed this down for generations before finally donating it to the Trinity Historical Society!!!

Craftsmanship at it Finest
Aug 2018 • Couples
I had to visit and get pictures mainly for the historical value but I must admit more so for a photo op with a historical site that bears my birth surname to show family back home.
Watching the blacksmith forge his products was educational and entertaining.
Certainly worth a visit.

It was wonderful to watch the blacksmiths doing their daily jobs and seeing the beautiful end products. Very knowledgeable about the work and the area.

A wonderful experience. To be able to watch the blacksmith shape and mold the metal. One of my sons favorite experiences on his summer vacation

Fascinating working Forge
Jun 2018 • Family
This forge is in operation during the tourist season by a very skilled blacksmith who is willing to tell you about it. He produces quality items. We were all impressed by what we saw and heard.
