What a great way to spend the afternoon! Be sure to take in the short movie and exhibits at the Visitor Centre - they're very informative and really set the stage for seeing the rest of the site. The recreated buildings were interesting as well...More

Watched the film first and then looked around the exhibits and the site. Very interesting. Great views of the bay from the centre - you could imagine the Vikings pulling their boat up the shore! Clean washrooms.

This historic site has a very good visitor centre, with excellent exhibits and a short but informative film. Plenty of friendly staff are on hand to answer questions. We opted for the guided tour, but broke away after about 10 minutes. Although the 'local' guide...More

A highlight and well worth the effort to travel to the northern tip of Newfoundland to get there. Enjoyed a guided tour with the original owner of the land, who always knew the hills in his backyard were something special. Museum is very informative. The...More

Well worth the visit. The staff were very knowledgeable and engaging, the crew that were part of the live recreation were lovely. Had a lovely time (despite the rain). :)

Gives you a historical sense of what life was like 500 years ago. Guides are great with their explanations of what used to be there... Don't expect actual ruins ,,, everything is a reconstruction ... The only drawback is the loooong drive to get there.....More
