A walking trail along a magnificent shoreline. For an average walker, the trail can be walked in 45 minutes one way or one and a half hours return trip, beginning at the parking area and ending at the John Cabot statue. However, this trail can...More

A very easy, flat walk along the coast from Bonavista to the lighthouse. Lovely scenery, albeit unspectacular. Unfortunately the trail is alongside the road a lot of the time, so one sees little more than one would from a car, and there is no feeling...More

This area could easily be one tod the most photogenic areas in Newfoundland let alone Bonavista on the way to the cape. Either as a drive or a hike you can't be disappointed

A nice walk along the coastline. Great place to watch the sunset and maybe a passing iceberg. I would recommend packing hiking boots. Anywhere in Bonavista that you hike is rocky and a good supportive shoe is a must.

This is a 3-kilometre trail that follows the coastline up to the lighthouse at Cape Bonavista. The scenery is beautiful with plenty of rocky shores, crashing waves and ocean views. The trail is rated "Easy" which is accurate. The pathway is well marked and well...More

Good shoes, walking sticks, some water and a snack. This trail is an adventure that captures your heart and your mind. You'll want to revisit this place of beauty again and again

Breathtaking, you're only one of very few people, can see whales, puffins, lighthouse, cliffs, crashing waves....yet so peaceful.

We were happy to see this trailhead near our cabins. The townward half is well-maintained but uses the road for sections. The lighthouse half is much wilder. I'd recommend just doing that half. Great views, but everywhere seems to have the same benefit.

We always enjoy this trail. It is easy and has spectacular views. Icebergs and whales to view, if the time is right.
