This review is odd, seeing our tour never happened. But our interaction were appreciated.
Before booking, this company was great at answering my (big and silly). Unfortunately, due to high winds, our tour was canceled for safety reasons. Although disappointing, I was impressed with the communication. They sent an email early in the day warning us of the possible cancellation due to the forecast, and then an email and phone call when it was officially cancelled.

I kayaked with this group, located in the park, at high tide. I have walked on the beach floor and now kayaked over it! The guides are fun, helpful, and knowledgeable of the area. You kayak through the the rocks as well, so much fun! Book early so you get the time and day you would like is a suggestion. If you book early they send you reminders, I like that. You need to show up before the tour as you have to park your vehicle, pay to get into the park (there could be a line), then walk or take the shuttle down to the bottom. Note for solo travellers, I went alone which meant I got to share the two seat kayak with a guide! He did most of the paddling and could give me details of the area, like a private guided tour!

We are on a family road trip through the Maritimes and the kayaking tour with Baymount was unanimously voted as THE highlight of our trip so far. Paddling right up to the rock formations and seeing the expanse of the Fundy Bay was just absolutely breathtaking. If you're lucky like we were, you would also be treated to flocks of tiny shorebirds fluttering around you. What takes this from just your average kayak sightseeing tour to a fantastic experience is the professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm of the guides. Lots of cool info about the rocks delivered with a great sense of humour! Tour is delivered in English and en Francais. Lastly, I should also mention that they have designed the entire kayaking experience to be quite accessible to a range of different kayaking levels. My parents who are seniors and not super outdoorsy were quite apprehensive at first to go on this tour, but I think they had the most fun! 11/10 stars super highly recommended!😀

We had an amazing experience with Baymount. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting kayaking adventure. The Guides were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and experienced. They gave an excellent tour and had everyone laughing.
I was nervous as this was my first kayaking experience, but I'm so glad that I didn't chicken out. It's a whole other experience to view the rocks from a kayaking vantage point.
Definitely worth the drive (we were staying in Saint John).
The only thing I would suggest is to let people know that there is also a park entrance fee. We didn't realize that Baymount was inside a national park. However, the park is beautiful and it's one of the best ways to experience the tides and walk the ocean floor - and then kayak on it, as well!!
Worth the money. Highlight of our trip!

This was definitely a highlight of our east coast trip. Weather wise it was a very rainy day but the guides gave us updates prior to the trip and the opportunity to rebook if we changed our minds. We went ahead despite rain since we only had that day to visit. Other than being extra wet, we had some challenging waves (what a work out!). But they were good at helping us navigate through the rocks and waves. Plan your day so you can see the park at low tide as well as kayaking the areas you just saw by foot. The only challenging thing was it was sometimes hard to hear what the guide was telling us about the history of the rocks. I stopped listening by that point and just enjoyed the views. Also be sure to bring a change of clothes (rain or not, you will likely get wet)

Wonderful experience with the high tides tour. Kayaking between the flower pots of Hopewell Rocks was fun and not too challenging. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional about safety. I got in at the last minute. It was worth writing to the owner to ask for availability even if it is sold out. After, we walked between the same flower pots 2 hours later, amazing!

I reside just 45 minutes from Hopewell Rocks and was last there some 15 years ago. My wife booked us a kayak tour recently, and I am so glad she did! The view of the rocks from the kayak is amazing!!! You get a totally different perspective of this natural wonder. I especially loved being on the water with other tourists and being surrounded by nature. Our tour consisted of people of all ages - so I say, just do it! You will be glad you did.

My family had so much fun on the mid-tide kayak adventure. The team runs like a well-oiled machine to get everyone out on the water smoothly and safely. The guides were fantastic, fun and full of interesting facts about the area. It was an incredible way to see the Bay of Fundy and the Hopewell Rocks. I definitely recommend!

Brought my two teens to the High Tide tour with guides Olivia and Joel. We all had a fantastic time. My teens say this was one of the highlights on our trip to NB and PEI. Lots of interesting facts about the bay, the rocks, the wildlife and the tide were shared. You don’t need to be a kayaking expert to enjoy this. Lots of breaks and slow paddling allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Watching the tides rise and recede at Hopewell Rocks Provincial Parks is one of my favourite travel memories! Walking the ocean floor at low tide and kayaking the same area at high tide is an amazing experience. The staff at Baymount Outdoor Adventures were welcoming and engaging. Our tour group was quite large and was divided into two groups after getting on the water.
As an experienced kayaker, the trip felt a little bit slow at times as there were many participants who were kayaking for the first time. The staff did a great job engaging in conversation and sharing the history and geography of the area.

I don't think they offer tours past Labour Day but check their website and you can confirm.
What is the best time of day to go kayaking?

Hi, Janice! Tour times for kayaking change daily at Hopewell Rocks Park due to the fact that high tide times change daily.
Our staff would love to answer any questions you may have or explain the tour times - please call 1-877-601-2660! Our tour schedule is also available at baymountadventures. com

Will be arriving to see the rocks around the 7th & 8th of Oct. Is there any other Outdoor Adventure Company offering to take the public out on the water or is that not offered this late in the season?

My understanding is that Baymount Outdoor Adventures is the only outfitter allowed in the park ... and their web page states they only run through September (but you could contact them directly to confirm)l

Thank you for your question about our "Kayak The Rocks" Adventure. Our policy is to only accept reservations for those 12 yrs. and over. The policy was implemented because the paddling conditions at Hopewell Rocks are often unpredictable and not suited for young children. The windy conditions that are normally present at the Rocks, make it necessary for both paddlers in the doubles kayaks to share in propelling and maneuvering the kayak among the rock formations. On request, families with children under 12 are placed on our waiting list. If conditions are extremely calm at tour time (and space is available) our guides may decide to add a few waiting list guests to the tour. All guests paddle tandem (two person) kayaks.
