The museum complex contains six buildings. Each of them has either a number of interesting artifacts or is an appealing building to look at. The court house is quite an attractive building. The R. B. Bennett display, although small, convinced me that the man has been short-changed in terms of history's evaluation of his term as prime minister. The gaol... More

James, a local young man, gave us a wonderfully informative personal tour. This was included in the price and worth asking for. You’ll appreciate the site and displays much more because of the guided tour. Driving by, the fairly modest seven buildings (that remain on their original locations) hide the riches of displays and professional museum-quality videos that educate and... More

The Albert County museum has a collection of items showcasing the history of farming in the area as well as what life was like 100 years ago. There is also an outdoor market with fresh, local produce and crafts as well as cob oven pizza here every Saturday during the summer months.

Today my wife and I decided to check out The Albert County Museum in Hopewell Cape, NB, Canada. It was the seat of government for Albert County before Canada decided to use the Provencal system. There were eight original buildings in their original locations, everything from the beautiful 1904 Courthouse to the tax office still full of tax records and... More

We checked out a few museums on our trip. This museum had a variety of buildings to look at and allowed you to get up close to some of the artifacts. But there was no one around to ask questions in the various buildings plus it was the most expensive rural museum we visited. Also if you are in a... More

I would like to thank you for your feedback. I greatly appreciate hearing about your experience here. This season we have made an adjustment to how the museum is presented to visitors. In trying to reach a balance between available human resources and visitor expectations, we decided to solely go with scheduled guided tours and to allow those who do... More

We went to Hopewell Rocks early in the morning when the tide was high, then had several hours to kill before we would be able to go down onto the sea floor at low tide. We had driven past this Museum so we doubled back to it. Total hidden gem! Half a dozen old town buildings (bank, jail, barn, courthouse,... More

This museum was great! There are several buildings- all very well organized and clean and a treasure trove of information! I was in town for the Steeves 250 reunion and I saw lots of articles owned by the Steeves- including a clock brought over from Germany by Henrich and Regina Steeves. The jail was great, courthouse was beautiful, and all... More

We used our two for one discount after visiting Hopewell Rocks. There is a good bit to see here, and not being from New Brunswick we found this helpful to connect us to the history of the area. Some of the audio visual parts were not working when we were here, but there was more than enough to read and... More

We held our wedding there in July 2016. It was a perfect spot! Everything on site (guests are still talking about the delicious meal). It was a really great spot for our kid-guests to run around between the ceremony and reception! Would highly recommend
