This lighthouse is claimed to be the most photographed in the world. It is a must see on Campobello Island and can only be reached at low tide. The journey to the lighthouse is an experience in itself!

Loved sitting on the coastline here and looking for whales, dolphins and seals and the occasional eagle, boats of all sizes too. As the tide was in, we didn't get to the lighthouse, but the point is worthy of a visit. The orange lichen on...More

The views from Quoddy Lighthouse trails are second to none. We saw a pod of dolphins, seals, a whale and of course the spectacular views. There is also a bog there with a wooden trail throughout. This is the furthest north we have a visited...More

East Quoddy Lighthouse is at the farthest point out on Campobello Island. Allow about 15 minutes to drive there from the International Park (Roosevelt sites). The drive out is charming and goes through a number of nice coves. Once at the lighthouse, there are just...More

We came to Campobello Island to take the Deer Island ferry. Once we found out that was not running this year, we knew we had a long drive to complete. Instead of coming to East Quoddy Lighthouse, we decided to just start our drive around...More

This is a gorgeous spot and well worth hiking up and down ladders and through rocks, sand and seaweed to reach the lighthouse. Make sure you go when the tide is low as there is no access at high tide. As an added bonus, we...More

We visited when it was extremely foggy so we didn't get to enjoy the full view, but it was still fun to cross over the ocean floor at low tide

We had visited Lubec and the Roosevelt Campobello International Park, and turned into the light house en route back. The views here are spectacular, especially if one arrives on a sunny day. The little museum is kind of fun, too.

We had boated between East Quoddy Lighthouse and mainland Campobello Island in eight feet of water the afternoon before, then returned in the morning for low tide walk on ocean floor to tour the lighthouse. You pay separately to walk out to lighthouse island $5...More

We were very lucky to hit low tide when we visited. We paid $5 each to walk over to the lighthouse for the views and got to see two whales playing in the ocean. It was interesting they charged ten American dollars with no exchange...More
