About
We would like to share with you our dramatic coastline with cliffs plunging to the Bay, sea caves and hidden beaches swallowed twice daily by the cycle of the tides - the highest in the world. This is the Bay of Fundy - a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. All sea kayak tours meet at our historic 160 year old kayaking centre, located on the Alma estuary. Just across the estuary is Fundy National Park. For an unique Atlantic Canada sea kayaking experience, join us on one of our adventures - kayak the world's highest tides, contemplate the power of a well placed Moon.

My family had a fantastic experience doing the Molly Kool tour. Instruction/safety primer showed they took their job seriously, and Dan was an amazing and personable guide who not only helped us kayak, but shared lots of interesting info re: the area, history, tides and more. The estuary was beautiful to paddle through, and I’d highly recommend this excursion for families with kids (or anyone else who’d prefer calm kayaking over the open sea).

I had a great 2 hour surfski trip in the Bay of Fundy with Kayak Fundy/FreshAir Adventure. My guide was Gina, an expert paddler who not only arranged for a safe and fun trip but also provided some very helpful instruction. Setting up the trip was smooth, the equipment is top-notch, and the scenery is beautiful.

We loved everything about Alma, and kayaking with Kayak Fundy was no exception! I loved the way they were attentive to our needs, giving us jackets if we wanted them and keeping an eye on the weather for us so that we would not end up out in the Bay in too much wind. We scheduled an "Ocean" kayak but ended up doing the Molly Kool trip because it was too windy, which was still great. We learned some history, a lot about the tides and the bay, and a wonderful kayak with great snacks and nice people.

Great Experience. Did the Mathews Head kayak tour with Amanda. The kayak was in good shape and worked properly. Amanda was a great tour guide, lots of interesting stories and facts. Snacks were tasty. We were fortunate to see a porpoise closeby.

What a gorgeous area to kayak!! Alma is beautiful and lots of lovely little restaurants and shops.
Kayak Fundy is a well run Business. Everyone is very professional and helpful.
Equipment is new and beautiful!
Weather didn’t cooperate though. We managed a short kayak out in the Bay of Fundy. Waves and wind were brutal.
Came back into the estuary and kayaked around.
We will be back for sure!!

Great adventure! Great team. We had an awesome time Kayaking with Amanda. She was super informative and helpful as was the rest of the team. The views were great and the stories/legends were humorous. Definitely worth the time and money!

We all loved every bit of the kayak experience. It was a great day to be out on the water. When we started the tour, the waves were a big and it was windy but the guides were superb, knew the water and very comfortable with the wind.
After we reached Matthew Head, the wind settled and the trip back was relaxing. The guides were very knowledgeable of the local history and of the marine environment. We stopped for a snack on the way back and the " sticky buns" were a perfect treat.
I highly recommend this tour and plan to do it again next year. This was our 2nd time, but first with family. The scenery never fails to impress.
You do need to be able to paddle for 3 hours.

My wife and I did the Matthews Head kayak trip with my sister and her husband. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, and our tour guide Rhianna was amazing. She had lots of interesting stories to tell about the history of the places we saw and the wildlife we were seeing. The tour easily accommodated all levels of skill and comfort in the kayak and there was a really well organized and informative safety briefing before hitting the water. This was an amazing experience and really brought back my love of water based paddling activities. We really lucked out with weather as well, a comfortable temperature and very little wind. If you are anywhere in the area of Hopewell Rocks or the Fundy National Park I highly recommend the 4 hours to do this tour, it would be an amazing additional experience to do between high and low tides at Hopewell

What a wonderful way to experience the Bay of Fundy! I went with my brother and his wife who had never before been in a kayak. From the moment we arrived we were buoyed by both the beauty of the site and how well the outfitter was set-up and organized. The expertise and attentiveness of our guide Gena, also owner/operator of Kayak Fundy, made everyone feel safe and confident in venturing out to Matthew's Head. Sharing her passion, knowledge and stories of this unique coastal treasure made it a truly an immersible experience. The coffee and warm cinnamon buns served afterwards on their cafe patio overlooking the wharf and waterfront is worth the visit alone. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much Gena!

A perfect location, thorough managers, clean and well cared for kayaks and gear and amazing on the water guides made for one of the best days on our trip.
We were carefully outfitted and had some dry land training for beginners before heading out on the water. It was a bit windy but the guides were always near us and coached even first timers to a fantastic series of caves and rock features.
The guides were very knowledgeable of the local history and of the marine environment.
We stopped half way for a great snack and drinks. Locally famous sticky buns were featured.
The location is just staggeringly beautiful and you haven’t experienced Fundy until you’ve seen it from the water.
Highly recommended for any adults and teens. ( the offer a much more gentle trip for families with younger kids). As long as you have reasonable mobility and can paddle for three hours you should be fine.
Can’t say enough about the on the water guides. They made the trip!

Hi Melissa,half-day takes approximately 4 hours in total. The first hour is outfitting, training and administrative (waivers, etc). Then guests have 3 hours on the bay, including beach breaks for snacks and exploring.
