Great place for a family gathering or a picnic. Also a great spot for lunch during the work week! Highly recommend it.

What a perfect site for this tranquil peaceful grounds. 50 plus years ago this site was formally the Winkler Bethel Hospital where I was born. Returning back to visit family, the hospital has since been replaced with this most beautiful park. The Angel is a symbol of healing, and I recommend this park for a stroll, reflection of life.

At first you can stroll and enjoy the views. The park offers shade and peaceful places to rest. Sunny spots and space are afforded for those who want to toss a disc or football. But best is Bethel's historic markers. Reading the plaques in the park allows one to gain a narrative of how Winkler came to be. The emphasis on peace, influenced by the different religions coming together gives insight into the harmony the town enjoys to this date. Bethel Park: Welcome to Winkler.

The Bethel Heritage park is located where the Winkler Hospital use to be. It has a gorgeous fountian, a gazebo, a stage area, bathrooms and a lovely path. It's a great place to have a picnic, read a book, or just take in the sights.
