The Bethel Heritage park is located where the Winkler Hospital use to be. It has a gorgeous fountian, a gazebo, a stage area, bathrooms and a lovely path. It's a great place to have a picnic, read a book, or just take in the sights.

I found this park to be very relaxing and beautiful!
It was very relaxing and was very interesting reading the history of the Winkler settlers.
The fountain is amazing, and very beautiful. It fits in nicely with the theme of the park.

Whether summer or winter, the central gathering spit is always open for tourists or locals. Pp ATVs are cleared in winter for a jig, flowers and fountains flow with beauty in the summer!

What a perfect site for this tranquil peaceful grounds. 50 plus years ago this site was formally the Winkler Bethel Hospital where I was born. Returning back to visit family, the hospital has since been replaced with this most beautiful park. The Angel is a symbol of healing, and I recommend this park for a stroll, reflection of life.

At first you can stroll and enjoy the views. The park offers shade and peaceful places to rest. Sunny spots and space are afforded for those who want to toss a disc or football. But best is Bethel's historic markers. Reading the plaques in the park allows one to gain a narrative of how Winkler came to be. The emphasis on peace, influenced by the different religions coming together gives insight into the harmony the town enjoys to this date. Bethel Park: Welcome to Winkler.

This is an awsome Park for a small city. The fabulous fountain, the entrance and gazebo all add to the beauty of this Park. It does not take "a back-seat"!

I am constantly amazed by small prairie towns and cities who have parks and dedicated green spaces incorporated into their downtown areas. Bethel Heritage Park is a superior example of prairie park done well.. More formal garden than random green space, with a fantastic fountain as the centerpiece. Lots of trees on the periphery, formal walkways, gazebo, bandstand, cairns and some flower gardens offering a splash of colour. Monuments and cairns dedicated to Winkler's past.
can be found throughout. Many are testimonies to the beliefs and principles of the e Mennonite community who founded Winkler, and remain a large presence there.
