Wonderful experience from the moment we booked our 2 hour ride. Excellent communication and quick response to questions. We changed our reservation two days out because of the weather and it was easily and with a pleasant attitude accommodated. The horses were clean and looked well fed. Our mounts were gentle and quite. No issues. The trail guide was informative and kept good control of her charges. Trails were in excellent shape. Thanks Bev and crew! We had a memorable time.

I am not sure, how anyone else felt in our group trail ride, but my husband and I had a great time. It was a nice comfortable ride through some trails in the area. The guide was fairly knowledgeable and made sure to talk to everyone on the ride, give out encouragement and accolades when needed. We had several different skill sets riding so everyone seemed to be doing great. Will definitely be back, as we love going on trail rides and Paradise Acres is nice and close to home. Thank you for having us! Even with a super gassy Storm lol

Our group was the one after the 2 little girls got injured. I have to say that the staff did not help the family at all. When we arrived, nobody said where we have to sign in, nobody even said hi. So we asked people waiting to ride, to see what we are suppose to do. The horses were a bit on the untrained side. The 1 hour trail ride was only about 20 minutes, the rest of the time went by with the staff getting people on their horses. There was a lot of staff, but they just weren't doing much. The trail was very narrow for both the horses and riders. People got scratched by the tree branches. I will not be back and would not recommend it.

We had a horrific experience with Paradise Acre Ranch. From the beginning lack of safety and riding communication when we arrived on site at 9:45 due to the big group. They only wanted us to signed the waiver and They rushed everyone on horse and send us off to the trail ride. One of the two guide spend the entire 1 and half hour chatting with another participant and neglect the rest of the group. At 11:45 towards the end of the ride the horse got spooked and started running away from the group with my 10 year old on the horse. At the end there were two children were thrown off the 2 horses. I completely understand this is an accident but the ranch did not provide any assistance once the children were thrown off. They just made the rest of us sit on the horse. I had to ask repeated to be off my horse and run to my child’s side and assist her. Luckily a neighbor who was an EMT witnessed it all and was by her side assessing the situation. No help was provided by the ranch at all. One of the ranch worker even commented that ‘you had to be the first one for our ranch eh? You are the lucky one’. My husband and I rushed my daughter to the Nanaimo general where the doctor assessed her. It has been 24 hours and no follow up call or text from the ranch. Looks like they don’t even care because they got my $500 anyway. Also got the sense the workers at the ranch were lack of first aid training because they were unable to respond to the injuries from the two children. I would caution everyone who is thinking visiting their ranch with their children to think twice.
