Our local pride and joy!

The best selection of everything locally grown or made. From various meats, sausages, vegetables, various bread vendors, eggs, Pie, oh the Pie Lady pie is worth a true rave on its own! And my newest happy place vendor, The Farm Family Bakery. I remember them from Black Creek selling baked goods from their home.....beautiful soft delicious buns, and so much more!

A Must See!!
Mar 2020
This was one of the best Farmer's Markets that we have frequented. It gave us a true flavour of the area. Expect to see a grand assortment of baking and other specialized food products. We bought some unique mushroom that were rather tasty.

The Native Sons Community Hall also has a rich local history. When you are in Courtenay in the weekend, this is Farmer's market is a must see and experience. You will not be disappointed!

Great market
Sep 2019 • Family
We are so blessed to have this amazing market in our town. I usually come home with amazing local produce, some fresh baking, locally made tortilla chips and salsa, fresh flowers and maybe some fresh juice! It's a well organized market with talented local musicians playing. We look forward to our weekly Saturday mornings at the market!

This is a real farmers market
Sep 2019
I was impressed by the quality and variety of items at the market. Some times at the so called "farmers market", you see the vegetables looks like from supermarkets. Green peppers in February? I can see the venders care what they sell. I wish I were living near the market, so I could go every week.

A wonderful family friendly experience
Jul 2019 • Family
Fresh local produce and handmade products offered amongst a beautiful outdoor setting, with traditional music and entertainment and a seating area to enjoy the freshly baked treats and beverages you purchase.

Dogs allowed, on leash, but it can get quite crowded with both humans and dogs, so bear that in mind when considering bringing your pooch.

True Country Fair Feeling - With Quality to Match
May 2019
If you are traveling on the Island and find yourself in Comox/Courtenay area on a Saturday morning, make sure you set aside an hour or two to visit this colorful market. Fresh bake goods, savory and sweet, and wonderful hot and cold beverages with keep you satisfied while you wander around a grass field full of organic vegetable/meat/cheese, and even ciders and wines stands. The people are super friendly and make you feel like you are part of the community.

local shopping at its best
Nov 2018 • Couples
Fun place to experience and purchase delicious local produce and goods, Young and vibrant atmosphere. For Christmas shoppers, this could be the place for one stop stopping. Plan to spend at least 1.5 hours. Talk to the many vendors about how they made their products! We have a lot of fun whenever we go. It is important to know that it is only on Saturdays (except in the summer) from 9:00 to 1:00 at the Native Son's Hall in Downtown Courtenay. In the summer it is at other locations and times. Best to check their website!

A great farmer's market to visit
Sep 2018 • Couples
We visited the Farmer's Market while on vacation over the long weekend and loved it. My only regret is that we didn't show up earlier as all the duck eggs sold out before we got there. They must be very popular. There was so much local produce and lovely food stuffs to check out. I also saw one of the biggest beets I have ever seen in my life so I was pretty impressed. We have Farmer's Markets at home too but I really enjoyed this one, it seemed like a great place to bring your family on the weekends. My advice to anyone who goes is to go early and to not eat beforehand as they have a great selection of food to eat while you are looking around.

Best of the Valley
Jun 2018 • Couples
As Farmers' Markets go, this one is pretty good. There is a wide collection of vendors to choose from - all of which are local to the area.

You can sample food and liquors from many vendors. Organic meats and vegetables are everywhere. There's also plenty of bakeries with snacks you can eat onsite, and breads you can take home (even gluten free).

The market is dog-friendly, if they're on a short leash. And there are even vendors that cater to the dog market, where you can buy organic treats.

Stick around for the live entertainment too!

Bountiful, Delicious & Welcoming
May 2018 • Family
The Comox Valley has one of the best Farmers' Markets around. The breadth of local offerings is great, from fresh produce to baked goods to honey, cheese, coffee, wine, vodka, steak, chips, plants, fresh pasta, and more. And yes, for the quality of what you buy it's very comparable in price to a grocery store, unless you're buying in bulk or don't care what continent your food comes from.

Add on top of that a layer of live music, joyful families, samples, tacos.

Add on top of that swaying trees, sunshine, kids and puppies.

Do I need to say more??
