The teachers and students at Island Pacific School loved this tour! We were led through the forests of Stanley Park and visited the beach, hearing stories from our guides. The guides worked well with our students, and answered their questions with thoughtful responses. Thank you so much to our guides and Talaysay Tours for welcoming us and graciously sharing their knowledge and experiences with us.…

I again got the honour and pleasure to join Candace for a tour. It was magical virtually walking with her along the seashore and the rainforest, listening to her storytelling. We took this tour as part of the AnimalConcepts pod: Earth Charter and the SDGs. It was an enriching and humbling experience. One I will never forget.…

Stanley Park Ecology Society staff attended Spoken Treasures by Talaysay Tours, a virtual tour through Stanley Park led by Indigenous Culture Ambassadors, Alroy and Candace. They’ve put together a wonderfully rich and heartfelt experience, recently making the transition to online programming. Candace and Alroy shared stories and oral accounts of the history of this land and the deep connection to the plants and animals that make up the local ecosystem. We would highly recommend attending their programs, whether online or in-person, and for both organizations and individuals. We're looking forward to working with Talaysay Tours in the future!…

I took the Shishalh, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh & The Early Pioneers History Tour - brimming with information. Both guides were funny and warm and full of anecdotes that brought the virtual tour to life. Lots of time for questions at the end. The pairing of Indigenous and settler history was a brilliant move. Not always comfortable side by side, but it was way more realistic and thought provoking to have both histories told at once.…
