About
Nestled in centuries-old forest and surrounded by the West Coast’s idyllic landscape, Sandpiper Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole golf course. Open 364 days a year, this par 72 course runs 6,500 yards from the back tees, and is gently sloped featuring four sets of tees for all playing abilities. Sandpiper is heralded as one of British Columbia’s best resort courses, is renowned for its adventure packages, and, is consecutively, voted by the province as the #1 golf course in the Fraser Valley. Canadian course designer, Russ Olsen, has done an awesome job of taking advantage of the spectacular water and mountain vistas. While there are a number of outstanding holes, be sure to check out the signature hole (the 486-yard, par 5 fifteenth) where the footprint of the legendary Sasquatch guards the green. Sandpiper’s manicured layout and easy walkability combines brilliantly with the area’s rugged beauty…creating an unforgettable golfing experience. Come #PlaythePiper!

October 3/202. Not sure if it because it was near the end of the season but the fairways were in very poor condition and they used so much sand for drainage that hitting the ball was very difficult. We drove 90 minutes to get there. Lady in Pro shop was lovely and very friendly. Prices have skyrocketed here including cart prices. As high as the high end courses in town. Last year we redeemed two passes we had bought at the Vancouver Golf show that we were told included a rental cart. When we got there they said it didn't. The guy in the pro-shop was rude and ended up throwing the keys at us. So this year we were ready to try again after golfing the whole "covid year" all over the province. we were ready! There were 4 of u s and we love golf and golf often. One of us even has a degree in horticulture and golf course management and greens keeping. So on to the first hole and i was immediately chastised by a 'marshall' for not using the 90 degree rule. He scolded me and then said the fairways were wet (had been hot and sunny and not rained in 5 days and this was 2 pm). There were no posted signs in the pro-shop and/or in the carts and we were not told by the pro shop and I was at a 90 to the cart path anyways. Then he proceed to drive to where my girlfriend was and yelled at her for the same thing and she was walking!!! Never once said anything to the men who were with us. He was a bully, unprofessional and we have no idea why he was targeting us. And we never saw him again for the day. we played the front 9 quickly and only waited on the par 3. At the 9th hole we were 2 groups waiting and it got worse from then on. We waited every hole with the group ahead of us waiting too. I called the pro shop when we waiting on 15. The marshall had apparently just left and told them he had done the rounds 3 times yet we did not see him once!! Then a family of 5 including a baby in a buggy, a toddler and 3 adults went for a stroll on the cart paths while we were waiting to hit. Then they stood and had a little group chat right in the direct line of the fairway. But there was no one to tell them to move when in fact that hole is almost directly in front of the pro shop. In fact, when the ball was finally hit from the white blocks, it went directly to where the group had previously been standing and had they not moved, they could have been hit. A very dangerous situation. Waiting so long between holes, (like 10 min each time, one totally looses focus and interest in the game at hand. I was very disappointed and will lprolly not every make the drive there again. Really sad.

Please know that our prices increased to accommodate less people on the course due to covid restrictions. Our course has been in amazing shape all year but with the season turning now, due to fall, optimal course conditions will wither. We will gladly provide you with complimentary green fees to return at a later date. Please email dave@sandpiperresort.ca to arrange this. Our very best!

Golf was a rip-off. The golf golf course was in terrible condition in key areas in the middle of Sept. Not worth the $$$. The lay out was great, the fairways and greens were in bad shape. Check my photos. Had to put through some shocking patches and hit approach shots of dirt.

I’ve been playing the course on November 11th for 15 years now. This is the first time I decided to stay at the resort.
Our room (Charlie’s room) is probably the smallest hotel room I’ve ever been in. The room had a funky odour to it. The coat hook’s were falling off the wall. There were dead bugs stuck to the blinds. We had at one time, 15 ladybugs inside the room.
The $80. Food voucher did offset the over $500. For 2 nights cost a little bit.
I would probably not stay there again.
That being said, the course was is great shape for November. The food in the restaurant was really good, as was the service. The food is priced really well for what you’re getting.
I will definitely be back for golf & for food, but not to stay overnight.

We did not golf. Rather we walked the trail on the golf course that took us to Harrison River and an eagle viewing location. We had to cross a couple of fairways but the path was well marked and golfers courteous. Viewing the eagles in the trees, along the shore of the river and in flight was awe inspiring. Definitely worth the side trip to come here.

Had lunch here on our Farm Tours break. View is fantastic. Well beautified grounds and lots people golfing. One dangerous branch spotted. Burger was average. Coffee horrible. Apparently they only had one cook… sign of the times…labour shortage everywhere.

Don't play here. Look at these pictures. Don't pay over $25 dollars to play here. This was at one time a wonderful course.

We had irrigation issues that caused course damage. Mechanical issues beyond our control, unforunately. Hopefully you can forgive one season of damage and return to the course that are used to and love. The course is in great shape now and will continue to be.

We had heard in the past this was a good course so decided to give it a try on a Saturday. Had looked on-line and seen pricing at $50 for 18 holes, but found out that's a midweek price, weekends are $69. Rented power cart and was told we had to stay on gravel paths. Once on course found out why we had to be on pathways, the ground was so wet in many places it was like walking on a waterbed!. The ground was saturated with water & a cart would have left ruts or broken through the grass and got stuck. Given this is one of the driest summers in BC history, it's hard to believe how wet the ground was. We play lots of courses and nothing has been this wet since last spring. As well the greens were very poor shape and the rough on sides of fairways was extremely long. We looked for a ball on many holes, after it ran off the middle of a fairway & actually lost some! On the other hand we found some others had lost, on the fairway! It was obvious that the course had been recently punched and it was part of the reason it was in poor shape. The marshal said it was punched the week prior. When we asked at the Pro Shop afterwards, were told it was 2 weeks prior. We advised we were not happy with the course condition and would not have paid $69 each to play had we known the course was just punched. The gentleman who tried to justify the pricing & condition was not apologetic and felt that at $69 it was a bargain to play as they are normally $80 ! (Perhaps this is why we were one 4-some out a handful playing here at noon on a sunny Saturday) Our complaints were not of interest to him he said after 2 weeks they don't tell players that the course was punched and don't offer a discount.

I see other complaints on here (June,July,August & Sept) about the long rough and poor greens, and wet conditions, I can testify this is still the case. At this price, I could not recommend this course, there are too many better condition courses for less money and much easier to get to. Don't waste your time here.

Thank you for sharing that a third party recommended the course. It’s unfortunate that your most recent experience didn’t meet your expectations. You are absolutely correct. We were blessed with a gorgeous summer and enjoyed one of Sandpiper’s most successful seasons to date. Unfortunately, September has been a wet month, especially in the Harrison Mills area. You are also correct that the grounds were recently aerated as part of our annual maintenance—just over a week and a half ago to be exact. Please know that the context of the multiple concerns you mentioned are directly related to recent maintenance. Would love to have you back any other time of the year. We are confident that you’ll have a better experience and value your business. Trip Advisor is a valued platform for Sandpiper. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. 

Our foursome has been playing at Sandpiper twenty plus times per year for over five years. Once our favourite course we are now playing elsewhere. The ruff is so ruff you can't get out of it and that is if you can find your ball which just rolled off the fairway. When/or if the grass is cut it is just left sitting on the fairway. The once perfect greens are now impossible to putt, I don't think they have been rolled all year. There are so many other courses at a much better rate and in a much better condition and closer to home, it is no longer worth the time or effort to play at Sandpiper. .

Hi Randy, We definitely value your loyalty. I just heard again today how our Pro Shop team has always enjoyed having you. As for your last experience, the greens were just aerated and maintaining the rough had to be delayed as a result. We sent a newsletter informing our players and reduced rates by 25%. We hope to see you again.

Certainly there are plenty of golf courses to choose from in the Fraser Valley region of Southwest British Columbia Canada...but none that compare to the beauty, majesty and scenic thrill of Sandpiper Golf Resort in Harrison Mills, BC. From the moment you turn onto the long driveway leading down to the clubhouse and Rowena's Inn and you see the colorful flowers, the manicured fairways, the mountains and stunning river views...you will be captivated...I guarantee it!

Wonderful Golf Shop with an excellent assortment of high quality items...amazing restaurant and patio with those spectacular river and mountain views, terrific food, friendly service...and of course...a thrilling, fun to play golf course.

This special spot needs to experienced...whether you're a golfer or just out in the area for a drive to enjoy scenery and nature....stop by, play a round, have lunch or dinner...they even have exceptional accommodation with rooms on the upper floor of the Inn or amazing cottages to choose from!

I've been to this resort many times and played the golf course, ate in the restaurant and stayed overnight in a cottage...and I'll be returning again and again. You should go there too!!

I have played this course since it opened and just recently played it for the first time this year. Was shocked that our green fees with a cart was 75 $! The course was in horrible shape! The winter has damaged the greens so bad that putting was a geuss at the best of times. Some of the tee boxes were all mud and hard to get traction on. Lost 3 balls In middle of fairway . Totally plugged out of site. The second cut was left to grow way too long. I was informed they were in receivership and have been bought out by somebody. This was a 30 $ golfcourse I played and I hope the new owners return this course to the beauty it used to be. I wont be playing it again till it is.

We had an unfortunate irrigation issue this year -- a mechanical issue that was beyond our control causing browning and course damage. We assure you that we aren't going downhill and have the same standard of excellence that we have always had.
