Nice if your first one

This is a small place with a few types of butterflies. They also have some big tortoises that wander around. Not spectacular but ok for a little bit.

The Butterfly area was beautiful, but the poor tortoise insanely going round and round in the gift shop was very disturbing. Also the other one in the orchid garden, trying to get out. This is about butterflies, return the tortoises, that poor Tarantula and gekho to a better place . The supposedly beautiful outdoor garden is an abandoned area, nothing... More

We knew coming in it was not a huge place, and that the outside garden would not be in bloom anymore. We visited at the end of September. But still we really enjoyed it! There were lots of butterflies and some beeing "born" from their chrysalis. Very good (macro) opportunities for photography. There are some other animals, tortoises, forgot the... More

this is such a nice place to spend some time taking photos or enjoying a nice day or a rainy day, I just love to go all the time to see new butterflies and see the turtle doing laps.

It is small and charming with zen music playing... just sit on a bench and watch the large butterflies chase each other and you will feel relaxed. It is not a huge fancy facility but if you were hoping for a beach day and it is raining, you can enjoyably wander about and pass some time here.

We wandered here for about an hour - the butterflies were gorgeous, and they had a nice water garden area. They had a lot of plants and trees labelled, which was a bonus, as I am always interested in unique plants and trees. We thought it was a nice visit, and enjoyed it.

For Butterflies, regrettably this place is not as good as Niagara Falls but still, not bad. The gardens were still being developed but the display of orchids was reasonably impressive. The outdoor gardens were fine, displays of Japanese Maples and a number of other species, reasonably impressive. The other creatures - tortoises and so on were equally good. I have... More

We attended the gardens??? on Saturday, July 9th. It is not worth the admission price and we would not go again or recommend it to our friends and visitors. The water garden pond water level was very low and unkempt. The orchid garden is still being developed (should have been done in off season). The tortoises were just displayed in... More

A rundown filthy location. Very few butterflies. Kids and adults handling what few there were. It was the worst drop of money I've made in this trip to BC. Please stay away and save your money.

Very nice flowers and nice relaxing walk. Many different paths to see flowers, tortoises, frogs and more. A little on the pricey side so not recommended for people on a strict budget.
