You can easily spend a couple of hours here at this lovely centre, which is well laid out and full of interesting information and artifacts about the indigenous people of Alert Bay and surroundings.

Lots of history, carvings, movies as well as things to touch Good gift shop. Historical carvings as well as modern. Movies telling the story of the local native peoples as well as many photos.

Well worth the visit. Authentic gallery and museum. Great mask collection, including many recovered after confiscation during the ban on potlash.

Two kms down the road from the ferry dock sits this very interesting and beautiful museum/cultural center. The local First Nations history and culture is described in detail thru wonderful artifacts and insightful stories. Not to be missed, and worth the visit to Alert Bay.
