Ok to understand my title and my review are entirely two different things. First of all I could not find one staff member who wasn't cordial, chatty, and helpful a very pleasant team of folks. Every one from the guest services who helped the guy with the ticket plastic holder note folks line up the dots it has to click.... More

A big group of us went for a ski weekend to Castle Mountain. For most of us this was our first time to this hill. Some warm weather and rain just before our arrival had us thinking the conditions were going to be a bit crappy. The lower part of the hill was actually pretty icy except for the areas... More

When the snow is good and the winds calmer, this ski hill has some of the best ski terrain in Alberta. The upper slopes are challenging with both open bowls and spacious glades. The upper runs are fairly long but quite steep and are suitable for intermediate and above skiers. For beginner skiers, there are also two chairs that provide... More

When you read the reviews about Castle, you will see lots of people speak about the fact Castle does not have high speed lifts. We skied here for two days and each day we were able to ski 23,000 vertical feet with a 45 minute break for lunch. This compares to what we typically get at a mountain with multiple... More

I went there a few times - and luckily only on amazing powder days so it makes the snowboarding experience already awesome. Yet - the resort is a relatively small one with one wide bowl and the backside, only 5 lifts with some if them being quite old... but I really like that place and its "authentic- less touristic vibe".... I've been going to Castle for 10 years now and its still a Gem. Just a classic old Ski resort, Older, slower Lifts that need to be updated (blue needs to be a high speed quad or triple at the very least) Awesome staff, great vibes, not a lot of lodging. Most days are windy but that means fresh tracks... More

Skied four days at castle. We were meant to stay and to ski for only three days and ended up staying for five. We had intended to a ski Fernie but never left castle due to the powder conditions that prevailed for the duration of our stay. On our last day we went cat skiing with lift assistance and finished...
