I'm so happy we went to see this beautiful building. I so wish we could have gone inside. We met a lovely lady who told us about the temple. And we went back at night to see it and it was even more impressive. I wish there were tours

A White Building on the Hill
May 2019
We were on the way to Waterton and took a quick stop at this place. We saw it from a distance. It was not open and only two gardeners were busy doing their job. There is another building at the opposite of this temple. The temple is one of the icons of Cardston as you see it on the Cardston's Welcome Board.

Beautiful Place For A Quick Stop
Jul 2019 • Family
Definitely worth a quick stop if you are in the area. The gardens are beautiful and there are spots for photo opportunities. You can't go inside however, there is a waiting area with washrooms if you need them. Only ran into one person who was at the gates and offered to take a family picture for us.

Not much to see
Jun 2019 • Couples
Not much to see - you can’t enter the temple bldgs; visitor centre has very limited displays. I guess i get it - its their worship place not a tourist attraction??? I sense its purpose is might to educate/convert people to their beliefs?

A must-see if you're driving from Lethbridge to Waterton, Mormon or not
Oct 2018 • Couples
The landscapes here are pure prairie, vast rolling plains, with very small towns dotted here and there. Cardston is a pretty town, very orderly and clean, with a small historic district, and a stunning carriage museum if you have the time. The heart and soul of this town, and the immediate area, will always be this impressive Temple. It speaks to the hard work and dedication of the community. It's only a couple of blocks from the two major highways that converge here, so DO stop by to take a look. Not something most will see every day!

huge building is all I can say

You are only allowed to visit the grounds around the temple. There is no access to the public. There is one part of a building you can go into and talk to a couple of people. It was not a place to spend a lot of time, as there is nothing to do than take pictures of the court yard and building.

A must see
Aug 2018 • Family
What a beautiful temple 💕. It’s really a must see if you’re travelling through Cardston. The volunteers at the information booth are very kind and informative and true members of the church. No one is permitted to go in the temple which was a shame not to be able to see its inner Beaty.

Very Impressive, Sacred Building
Jul 2018 • Couples
My wife and I were travelling through Cardston en route to Waterton National Park. We made a point of viewing the Cardston Alberta Temple. It's an impressive building. There is a visitors' and information building at the front of the West Entrance. The building is "off limits" to most people, but it is still a building that is worth visiting.

Architectural dream - a must see if you are in S. Alberta
Aug 2017
Whether you are a member of the LDS church or not, this is great place to view. The temple ground and up to the reception desk are open to viewing. You will feel comfort and peace as you stroll these grounds. And if you are a member, you will love visiting this temple. The inside has incredible things to see.

Amazing temple in a small town
May 2018 • Solo
I’ve always wanted to go, and I was in Kalispell, so I made the drive up. So worth it. Even if you aren’t LDS, you can still visit the visitors center and walk around the grounds. Amazing artisans built this and I loved the beauty of the temple. After coming out there was a double rainbow over the temple. Great day.
