My wife and I have Skied most of Europe, some of America, Canada and New Zealand but we keep returning to Val Cenis. The lack of lift queues, the friendly locals and lack of high rise development are just a few reasons for us to keep on coming back. If you are looking for lots of night life and fancy... More

I've been here four times now, each time with the same company, MGS Ski Ltd. Small family run outfit who are locally based, know the area and locals very well, offer transfers from several airports and are very well priced and flexible. Would highly recommend them. The skiing is surprisingly extensive and it's possible to cover termignon, länslebourg and lanslevillard... More

Nice area for wintersports, although there are less bars or restaurants at the slopes. Which makes the region a bit boring. If you prefer to take a drink in a bar or like crowded places you shouldnt go to Val Cenis but consider larger areas such as La Plagne or Val Thorens.

Plenty of snow top to bottom. Bottom lifts Can get quite busy when ski school starts. Further up the lifts can be quieter. Able to access the whole area with lifts and runs without using ski bus. Several resturants on the mountain and not excessive prices.

I have spent several times my holidays in Val Cenis now, in summer and in winter... I really like the resort, there is a lot to do and a lot of attractions organised by the village.First thing we arrive is always get the weekly paper at the tourist office to see what are the events planned for the week. Otherwise... More

Val Cenis is a smaller family oriented resort . We stayed in Lanslebourg with a friend for 10 days in late January/Early February 2014. A huge bonus of going to one of the less known resorts in France is the shorter chairlift queues. During peak times you may face a short wait, possibly half of what you would find at... More

Mid size resort midway along the final spur of the Maurienne valley. Formed from the two ancient villages of Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard the skiing spreads along the north facing side of the valley and includes the linked small resort of Termignon. The character is very French as is (predominantly) the clientele. There is varied skiing above and below the tree... More

Val Cenis is a relatively small ski resort that consist of three villages. If you are a beginner you might be happy with staying in just one of the areas. If you are more experienced you definitely would want to go beyond your home arrea. What reality sucks about Val Cenis is that the areas aren't well connected by slopes... More

A really nice resort with a good mix of ski runs and good value for money. We had a really good week here despite the poor snow season. Only things I would say is that I was surprised how busy it was at times and we were there on a quiet week! At times the slopes seemed really crowded, which... More

Stayed with family and friends at the Hotel le Val Cenis in Feb 2009. This was a fabulous hotel, all inclusive and right next to the piste in lanslebourg. Food was even great for my fussy children, who ate pasta and pizza every day (lunch and dinner) and for the adults there were plain meats or fish as well as... More
