We were so fortunate as we arrived almost at midday and we got to witness the noon pooja. This temple was relatively cleaner than the others we had visited.
Quite strict rules to adhere to - no photography.
The place gave me good vibes.

This is one of the rare idols of Hanuman - panjamukha Anjaneyar - a magnificiant one. The temple is off Saranankara Road, Kalubowila. The Idol is huge. It is facing idol of Rama, Sita and Lakshmana. Another specialty of this kovil is that you will find Navagraha in a straight line which is very rare. Try to visit on Thursday evening by 6. You can participate in the Aarthi and enjoy some devotional songs for 30 minutes. They also distribute prasadam that day. Not sure if it is there on other days since invariably I have visited only on Thursdays.Oppostie to this Kovi there is also a Saneeswarar Kovil. In that temple there is a Lord Vinayakar carved out of a tree trunk.

This Temple is owned by a Hanuman devotee who is very dedicated to his work. The temple is very clean and everyone do their best to keep the atmosphere like that. You are asked to dress respectfully and behave the same.
The owner Swami Ji visits the temple every morning around 9am and do a unique offering to Hanuman and also gives an encouraging speech to the devotees. It's a one of a kind place and one of a kind experience.

Dress code: You need to cover your shoulders and legs while entering the temple, no short dresses allowed.
Timings: Opens at 5:30 in the morning and closes at 8 in the evening with an afternoon closing from 1pm to 4:30pm. There is a morning pooja held at 8:00 in the morning and an aarti in the evening around 6-6:30.Thursday evenings at 6pm is special. However other days are also ok.
The temple has Sri Hanuman as the main deity. Panchamukha Hanuman is a five faced idol of Lord Hanuman in the temple. The temple also has idols of Nandi, Navagraha, Rama, Sita, Ganesha and Jain idol of Lord Parshwanath to worship. Another specialty of this kovil is that you will find Navagraha in a straight line which is very rare.
Opposite to this Kovi there is also a Saneeswarar Kovil. In that temple there is a Lord Vinayakar carved out of a tree trunk, which is also run by the same trust.
Hope this review will help devotees and may Lord Hanuman bless you even if you’re not a Hindu.

Sri Anjaneyar Temple is located in the Dehiwala-Mount lavinia area of Colombo. It is about 30-45 mins from the main area of Colombo. There is a Shani temple right opposite to this temple which is also constructed and run by the same trust.
Both the temples are nice and has wonderfully carved idols. Our visit to the temple made our minds peaceful and calm. The temple opens at 5:30 in the morning and closes at 8 in the evening with an afternoon closing from 1pm to 4:30pm. There is a morning pooja held at 8:00 in the morning and an aarti in the evening around 6-6:30. You need to cover your shoulders and legs while entering the temple, no short dresses allowed.
