We stopped since our hotel was very close and it was a fun stop. We didn't actually go in the museum or see the herd, just saw the world's largest buffalo. He was huge and the view was very pretty in the morning. We were the only ones there at about 9 am. If you're near, stop by for sure!

The museum was not the most notable but as we were buying our souvenirs, we were given a map to see the White Buffalo in their winter area. The herd is free to roam, but our luck, they were close by and you could plainly see the albino buffalo. Pretty neat to see.

This is a great place to spend an afternoon with kids, or just stop off during road trips to walk to the BIG buffalo for a photo. We have stopped here almost my entire life when passing through Jamestown, it is a must see and isn't so far off the interstate that you can't make a quick stop.

No staff on site. Several visitors here but a waste of time were looking forward to this destination.

Although the museums lacked some luster it was a thrill to see the giant buffalo. It's amazing to me the effort that went into building a buffalo statue that large.

They hype the bison herd here but mostly, it's barely visible. The white bison was no where to be seen and when I asked about it, I really got a vague answer. Staff at the visitor center wasn't very helpful about the area either. I didn't go into the museum because it seemed over-priced and there are other, better options... More

I enjoyed the largest buffalo in the world as well as the white buffalo roaming the surrounding fields. Quite a few things were closed when we were there, including the museum but you don't need that to enjoy yourself.

The Buffalo Museum was very interesting and educational. Lots of pictures and paintings, and some prehistoric skulls. Nice building and very nice displays. There was an over look to view the buffalo but they were around a hill and not visible. The Pioneer village is there also and lots of buildings and vendors.

A lot more here than you would think. The pioneer village was really nice, and of course the buffalo are a big attraction.
