River Cities is a three-tenths of a mile dirt track, with partially enclosed bleacher seating running from turn 4 to turn 1. Parking is ample, and entrance and exit were easy for the World of Outlaws event on 16 July, 2021. There is the usual sporting event food and drink, and concession stands selling the usual array of t-shirts. This particular evening featured stock car and sprint racing in addition to the late modifieds running in the Outlaw series. All seats were general admission for this race, and cost $32 purchased beforehand, and $35 at the event itself. All races were short, the Outlaws crowning the winner after only 40 laps. This makes for a pretty early evening; to our disappointment, we were back at our hotel before 11 PM.
Be sure and bring high quality earplugs if you choose to attend a similar event at this or any other track. High performance engines generate a lot of noise!

River Cities Speedway is a favorite of mine! We go down every summer quite a few times as we very much enjoy this venue! Always great races with great food and drink prices. Very affordable for families to attend with their children!

or maybe limit the modified cars to the first 20 that show up. Two heat races with ten cars each. no B main. If you spin out, no more sitting and waiting for a yellow flag, get your car going before the yellow flag comes out or you will be shown the black flag

Service and food generally good. Beer and races excellent! Popcorn and hot chocolate delicious! Always so easy to get out of the parking lot. No bottle necks! Hope to make it again next year.

The Roar and Rumble of the Races is something that you need to experience! The racers and their crews put a ton of heart and talent into what they do! It can only appreciated if you take time to check out the races at the River Cities Speedway and see what they do firsthand. Don't forget to bring earplugs with you. These races can be very LOUD! Oh... and bring a friend and an extra set of earplugs for them. They will be glad you did!

The racing is hard charging. The seats are very near the track so you get the smell of the cars and the dirt thrown at you. Pricing is very reasonable but buy your tickets ahead to save money. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Great way to spend a Friday evening.

As usual, very entertaining races with cars coming in from multiple states and provinces.
We came for two weeks of races including WoO sprints and the late model special in September. Track preparation generally has been good, flagging was OK other than they love to throw in that extra pace lap before the restarts. This chews up a lot of time when added together at the end of the evening. Racing is good so watching 4 classes race until 1:00 am was acceptable. However, on the night of a special event, they sadly brought in 5 classes. Unusual for the event planners to make such a huge gaff, ( final race ended at 2:52 am ) This was tough on everyone, especially the late model drivers for which roughly 45 showed for a spot on the A main, and also for the sprint division, 30 cars came and barely half the stands lasted to watch. The announcer was mediocre from beginning to end and could not save this Saturday special program. I will probably take next year off from traveling to RC Speedway.

Love going to this race track. One of the fastest tracks in the midwest. On the night we went they had school bus races. What a sight to behold! Non-stop action. Sprints and late models always provide a great night of entertainment.
