In Polson, they decided to have an Armed Forces Memorial Park. The bridge and at the end of the bridge was a wall for those who lost their lives.

They have a U.S. flag in metal.

It is really attractive.

Worthwhile to see!

The Veteran's Memorial Bridge on Main Avenue is nice with majestic columns and flags representing the U.S, Minnesota and North Dakota.

Plaques to honor all branches of the military.

The bridge connects Fargo and Moorhead.

Pros
Four lanes plus walking area.
A nice place to photograph especially as the sun sets.

Cons
Fargo is adding a roundabout on their side of the bridge.

My first visit here was for a Memorial Day program. It is such an interesting place for any one to stop and walk across the bridge and see the sculptures. Very awesome work.

Nice tribute to our military forces past and present. It's a beautiful place to stop and give thanks to those who have fought for us.

The bridge, which connects Moorhead MN and Fargo ND, is very much connected with the history of the Red River and of the area. The first bridge dates back to 1872. The present bridge was opened in 2004. You will appreciate the history best when you walk the bridge, which I did (in both directions). There are several explanatory signs.
If possible, I would have rated the bridge 3.5 out of 5.

It is just a small bridge over the Red River. However it is unusual and honors our veterans. There are flags and many tall spheres to honor the US military.

Not much to see, just walk over the bridge and read a little about the river. The vet memorial doesn’t have much to see.
