High Quality Mead
Jul 2021
Varied and high quality mead. Reasonably priced. Proprietor especially informative and helpful. Tasting room has some things for young kids so they don't get bored.
Welcoming and happy environment, frequented by locals and tourists. Don't come in with an attitude!

What a fun idea for an afternoon!

We decided to see what "Mead" was all about - drinks made of fermented honey and water with other flavorings added. Our host was Bob (with one O) who was the best host ever - very fun and very knowledgeable about the business. We chose our two favorites and bought 2 bottles after each of us enjoying our flights of four. Highly recommended finding this neat little place.

I'd give this place more than 5 stars if I could. Different meads - all good. Nice people. Can't wait to go back.

The owner was serving up the samples the day I stopped in, there is a great variety of meads and he explained the different types and how they were all made.

It was our 1st time going. We just loved it. So many great flavors to sample. Bob was just a delight. He was very informative. Talked to us about each wine. Loved hearing how it was all made. He even took us on a little tour of the back room. Thank you. I will be back

Excellent outing!

Solo in North Dakota and Bob (owner/bartender) was very personable. Did a flight of mead and took home a bottle :-) Establishment is comfortable, large selection of meads. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area!

Excellent mead in a warm and friendly atmosphere

If you're looking to try mead for the first time or expand your palate you don't want to miss this place. Located just off I29 and 32nd Ave the owners of Prairie Rose Meadery have it figured out. Many varieties to sample and bottles to purchase to take home. We will be back again!

Great fun!
Sep 2016
We stopped there recently on a Sunday afternoon, probably spent an hour and a half tasting and talking mead with Bob. He is an amazing host! Easy personality, a real local guy, who apparently loves what he does. He kept pouring us samples and talking about what makes them special. My favorite was the raspberry chocolate mead, my spouse liked the vanilla cinnamon mead. The list of flavors is amazing, some you think you won't like but you do after tasting. They even had a ginger mead that we did not care for by itself but he mixed it with some sour lemon soda and a slice of lime and OH BOY! Just the experience of tasting all those flavored meads with someone truly excited about his product was worth the visit alone. Buying a half case of their meads to take home will be great for these coming winter months.

Small Place, Nice Service
May 2016 • Friends
We visited here with friends on a Saturday morning. We'd never been to a meadery before and wanted to check this out.

When we entered the owner was alone and offered us samples (you pay for them though). We declined at that time but asked her if we could take a tour. She gave us a personal tour and taught us all about meaderies.

The personal tour was a nice touch and afterwards a couple people in our group tried the meaderies and purchased four bottles ~ which is to say, they are quite good.

They also order soft drinks and cheeses here.

Well worth the visit.
