Our Visitors Center, the "Grain Elevator", located at exit 348 of Interstate 94 has bushels of information, maps, brochures as well as a gift shop. It is open year round so stop in and talk to our Visitor Center Travel Ambassadors. We provide free wifi, popcorn, and coffee for visitors...And the bathrooms are spick-and-span!

The Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center is also home to the woodchipper from the movie 'FARGO.' Stop by and have your photo taken with the infamous woodchipper! We provide the (fake) leg and bomber hats to complete the photo op. Be sure to see the Celebrity Walk of Fame outside our visitors center with star signatures and hand & foot prints in cement.

We have been to the Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center many times. I always go there when we plan trips across North Dakota. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Lots and lots of brochures about everything in our state. I like maps and they had maps. because of my farming background I liked the "elevator" effort effect in the building.

Planned a trip to North Dakota and knew we had to stop here and see THE woodchipper. The staff was friendly. We planned on spending an hour and only needed about 5 minutes.

We found out about some interesting places to see in Fargo and Moorhead by stopping in at the Visitors Centre. Very helpful. There's also the original wood splitter from the movie Fargo which was made 20 years ago.

Stopped by this visitor center to pick up literature on specific sites we planned on stopping at during a week long tour of North Dakota. A woman at the center was very helpful and pulled brochures on everything I asked for from among the extensive collection of brochures they maintain on ALL of North Dakota's main tourist attractions (they do... The people at the visitors center were very knowledgeable of the Fargo area and gave us some restaurant suggestions for dinner. We saw the wood chipper as well.

My husband and I stopped to see the walk of fame. We were promptly greeted by a nice young lady whom had a great deal of knowledge about the area. She was most helpful with planning activities for our short stay. Yeah I took a photo of the woodchipper and there is a stand-in outside should you arrive at off... More

Spend the 15 minutes to stop by and have your picture taken with the Wood Chipper from the movie. Staff was friendly but I can't put my finger on why this is the number 1 attraction in Fargo?

Visited on arrival in Fargo and got some useful advice and brochures. They have a great exhibit of props etc from the Coen Brothers film Fargo including the infamous wood-chipper. Outside is the Walk of Fame with hand prints and footprints of famous people together with messages. These concrete pavers have been moved from an original site and many didn't... More

Approached what appeared to be two young college students sitting behind the desk and inquired " how far is the drive to the Canadian border?" " Anything worthwhile to see? The reply was it's two hours and yes there's things to see. When we visited this spot is was about 2PM so we thought a two hour drive up and... More

We're very sorry you were disappointed with the service you received at our visitors center. We've discussed this with our travel ambassadors to try to avoid someone else having the same experience. In talking with the travel ambassadors trying to figure out what it was that we recommended you see, one of the things we were a little confused about... More
