This is really one of the best sports bars I’ve run across period. The caboose theme carries through the interior and there is just so much going on all the time so it never gets stale. The menu is outstanding for a bar in the middle of ND (or anywhere else for that matter) and new items are added seasonally. We had their pizza (a Shrimp and Taco) which were superb! Our last night in town I had their prime rib sandwich which honestly was one of the best beef sandwich I’ve had hands down. There are constant specials and during the sport seasons there are plenty of fan specials. Happy Hour and drink specials abound so there is something for everyone. Don’t forget the Tiki Bar out back which is a nice quiet area to chat and enjoy a little less energy than inside!

We were up ice fishing and this place was recommended by the hotel we were staying at. Food was very good and the place was always busy.

We loved our lunch of salads and cheese curds after a long morning at the lake. Kala was our waitress and she was fantastic. The food was fresh and options were easily offered.

We are from Canada and knew nothing about cafes in this town but we were sent here by wait staff at a different cafe because first off they didn't serve any alcohol but also because the food was better! And it was!! My husband had the best chilli dog and I had the best grilled chicken salad and we ate in the caboose! While we waited for our food, we wandered around admiring the photos of old steam engines. Great cafe!!

A buddy and I were in Devil's Lake, ND for a recent fishing trip. We had vouchers to use at Proz and Cedar Inn Family Restaurant. We went to Proz the first night in town and knew we wouldn't be going anywhere else. The service was great and the food was fantastic. Our bartender, Anthony, hooked us up with amazing menu recommendations and was spot on the whole time. Thanks, Anthony!!! I would not hesitate to go back to Proz the next time I'm in town. I can still taste that Prime Rib sandwich.

We ate at Proz on a recent fishing trip to Devils Lake. The food is mediocre at best. Since we had a lodging package that gave us $90 to spend at Proz, we had to eat there 3 nights in a row.

Having tried a number of things on the menu, I can say that there really isn't anything good in terms of food. The burgers are overcooked and of poor quality, equivalent to what you'd find in a gas station. The Buffalo chicken sandwich is a small grilled chicken breast covered in Frank's Red Hot. Mine was overcooked as well and despite the Frank's, lacked any significant taste. The Reuben sandwich is probably one of your better bets.

I gave this 2 stars as the beer was cold and the service was fine. I'm not really sure where else to tell you to eat in Devils Lake, though.
