Jamuna bridge is one of the longest bridge in bangladesh about 5 km long. The bridge has road and rail line on it. It's take 500 taka toll for a car to drive on it.
The ramp of both the side of the bridge is attractive. For heavy vehicle there is a weight limit, so they need to pass through a scale.
The river is billow here. So if anyone go for boating then better take life jacket. The bank is also attractive in evening. One can have good time during sunset. But I would advise not to stay here after sunset.

One of the major rivers of Bangladesh which is Brahmaputra's main flow to Bangladesh. Jamuna bridge is also a tourist attraction and you can spent a peaceful evening watching the sunset and do boating as well.

This is actually a evening hangout place with friends of family. Nice view of Jamuna Bridge and Sunset. Start from dhaka around 1.30 PM. One can also enjoy boat riding here...available for rent. During evening time it becomes a little crowded. Still a good hangout place for Dhaka people. Better rent or drive a car.

The mighty Jamuna river is the pride of Bangladesh. It brings joy, happiness as well as miseries to the people who live beside it. In August, when we were visiting, the river was over flooded and covered the nearby villages. The same river had dry beds only a month back. The bridge on Jamuna river is also very beautiful and imposing. Hundreds and thousands of vehicles cross the Bridge every day. The toll plaza at both ends collect levies to cross the bridge. There is also train lines over the bridge to go to the north of the country. Some resorts are also located in the Jamuna river side. One can enjoy the beautiful sunset from the bank or boat. We took our own vehicle from Dhaka to reach the place and paid Tk 1000 for both way travel as we crossed the bridge to go to the other side. The road to Jamuna bridge from Chandra roundabout is under construction and is in terrible condition. It takes long hours to travel 80 km path. The traffic jam could be horrendous and can be nerve breaking.

The legendary Jamuna river is about 80 km away from Dhaka. From the bank you can have a view of the Bangabandhu Bridge. You will be mesmerized by the backdrop of a lash green Bangladeshi village and the breathtaking view of the river. This spot is very scenic for the natural beauty and wonder of the surroundings.

You can take a boat ride, have some snacks from the shops beside the river bank or just sit and relax. If you are lucky then you will find some fresh fish to buy.

If you like to enjoy a nice view of Jamuna Bridge and Sunset, it is the place - on either side of the Jamuna Bridge. You can rent a boat before the sunset and see sun setting down on the mighty Jamuna. Its view is awesome. It becomes crowded during evening.
