Shuttle to Masonboro Island- didn't start so great as speedboat we were to take was not working. But they squeezed us onto their other tour pontoon boat and we went to the island. We chose not to do a tour because of our young kids, and 2 hours on the island was plenty of time for us. By time of... More

We booked the shelling/Eco-tour at the Blockade Runner. We had a nice boat ride over to Masonboro piloted by Captain Joe. Once we arrived on Masonboro Island, Captain Joe had a fishing charter so he left us with Captain John. My family had the greatest time! Captain John is very passionate about the ecology of NC and especially Masonboro Island.... More

We had a party of 9 that was set to go crabbing over to Masonboro Island and it was a little difficult booking (this was done by a friend), but once everyone showed up, it was a lot of fun. We had to split into two boats (the fast one and the slow one) and the trip to Masonboro for... More

This is a nice boat ride to Masonboro Island. We were with a group of kids (a school fieldtrip). The captain and all of his employees were very knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. The students learned about ecosystems, conservation, and history.

Capt.Jack & 1st mate Hal were both really funny and congenial. Gorgeous views and well worth the price.

My friend and I wanted to get out on the water and watch the sunset. I called and made reservations the day before. The dock is directly across the street from the Blockade Runner and you can use the hotel restrooms before the trip. The Shamrock was a open boat and the captain had chairs for us on deck when... I'll keep it short and simple, this was our second time using this service. First time was back in July 2015. Texted the captain a day before, since its more convenient for us, I mean come on who actually calls to make reservations anymore? Next day met another captain on the dock, who took us to Masonboro island. Everything was... More

Masonboro Island is an uninhabited island reachable only by boat. I purchased tickets for a kids "Eco Cruise" offered by Wrightsville Beach Scenic Tours during our trip to Wrightsville Beach during the last week of July 2015. I read through the FAQs on the web site after spending $95 for the three of us to take the tour. I had... More

Called captain John to book a crab tour for my family. He told me we were all set, he would call me back to get credit card info, but we would be good to go for the trip that Friday. Showed up early and waited on dock, he never came. Finally spoke to him on phone, he said that I... More
