Love it

This is my favorite kids museum. We love it. It's geared towards 7 and under. Super cute. We usually spend 2 hrs here. Interactive Krispy Kreme factory...need I say more?

The Children's Museum is an amazing place to let the kids play and have fun. There are staple exhibits that the kids run to every time we visit - the Kaleidescape is a wonderful addition; the building area, that always seems to have a little something new each time we go; and the grocery store and doughnut shop are always... We visited the Museum with our 11yr old twins and 6yr old. The activities inside are definitely gear more for our younger one, but the older two seemed to have fun too. Great place to let the kids play on a rainy day or hot summer afternoon. Free Admission for Military Families!!

This children's museum is in a great spot close to downtown and Old Salem. There are often story and/or craft times advertised but if the timing doesn't work for you, just exploring the museum offers plenty to do. My kids especially love "working" at the Krispy Kreme factory. There is no food court or restaurant on-site so plan around meals.

We have been going to this museum for years and love it so much. I only gave it 4 stars because some of the toys looked a little worn. My oldest daughter (age 12) was bored until she went into the art room. My youngest (age 8) loved every second and wanted to stay for hours. The REAL tools were... More

We had planned to spend our day trip to Winston-Salem (from Raleigh) wandering Old Salem, but the heat was awful so we shortened our time in the historical district and headed to the Childrens' Museum instead. Our eight-year-old son had a ball! The space is small (or at it isn't as big as he expected it to be based on... More

I can't say enough good things about this museum. My kids could literally spend all day here! The first thing that greets them when they enter is the giant beanstalk that beckons them to climb up to the top floor (those of us whose climbing days are over need to use the stairs). Once upstairs they are greeted the home... More
