This park has plenty for kids and adults as well...Picnic areas, trails, swings and slides, and jungle gym type climbing arrangements. You will also find a snake and reptile house with guides to explain it all to you.

Have walked this "hidden" park several times. It is enjoyable to wander the trail. Named in honor of a local WWII veteran, you also get to know a little more about him. Dogs very welcome.

We go here occasionally, the playgrounds are not the newest nor the most impressive, but there is abundant shade, and it is really good for scootering (and also biking and jogging). Parking is ample, and it is relatively pretty, although absent a water feature. I'm...More

It's in the neighborhood so we use it a lot. Nice 1.3 mile walking/biking track although markers are irregular and confusing. Nice unpaved trails as well.

I love this park as it has such a beautiful trail to run or walk your dogs. The trail flows through the woods with plenty of places to stop and really drink in nature. It is very lush. There are bathrooms as well.

This is one of my favorite local parks to take walks. The canopy of trees surrounding the paved walkways is perfect for windy or hot days. It is conveniently located adjacent to my neighborhood and safe to take children & pets.

The park is a perfect spot for a run. Out of what can be an oppressive summer sun, Halyburton has a 1.28 mile shaded paved path and about a mile of hiking trails. There are two good playgrounds, and plenty of clean picnic tables and...More
