Our Riverwalk in Wilmington is very nice to enjoy anytime but even more beautiful at night. Many places downtown available for dinner and then just a leisurely walk on the river after dinner is relaxing. Kilwin's Ice cream is always a good stop for dessert to for your walk!!

No trip to Wilmington would be complete without a walk on the Riverwalk in downtown Wilmington, along the Cape Fear River! The board pier-like walkway easily runs a mile or more as it meanders along by several hotels, public park areas, condo buildings, quaint little shops, boats of all sizes and many well-liked restaurants. There are several bar-type establishments nearby,... More

We absolutely love visiting the Riverwalk and downtown Wilmington. The Pilot House is one of our favorite places to eat and we also love Front Street Brewery both are very accessible from the Riverwalk.

Now stretching from the new marina at The Convention Center in the north to Nunn Street at its southern-most point, it's a good hike so probably better to give it a miss during our dog days of summer. Spring and Fall are the best times to enjoy. The basic plan should be to start in the north (parking is easier... More

We were advised by friends who used to live in the area to visit the downtown area and the River Walk. We drove from the Market Street area, a 20 minute drive, to get there, but found it had a section closed for renovation/ construction - not sure which. Seeing it was only about a mile long walk, it was... More

We moved here in 2001. The River Walk was a concept and an existing but incomplete facility. Now, it is a pleasure for locals and visitors to use the River Walk to enjoy the ambience and view. We bring guests downtown for the restaurants and the River Walk. We also enjoy both attractions ourselves.

I was in Wilmington for a few days to visit family. My niece works at Cape Fear Community College which was very close to the River Walk. I didn't see much because I have trouble walking. I enjoyed shopping at small business merchants. Yes there is construction, but I feel if the weather is cooler and its easier to walk,... More

It was a great day for a stroll down the river walk. Temperature wasn't too hot. It will be much better once they finish the construction.

There was lots of construction going on so that seriously detracted from the experience this month, but when its done i'm sure the area will be very nice.
