Only thing that limited our 100% rating was the amount of construction going on. But we started our walk at our hotel at Nutt St and walked several blocks along the water.

What a nice stroll checking out restaurants an excursions that are available. We were interested in the Sunset Cruise (Romantic) score points! a must do on the next visit.

Wilmington is not a huge city. It does have a riverfront and they’ve made sure you can walk the majority of with a boardwalk with some restaurants, boat rides, a bar or two and a couple of hotels. There is construction going on now (October 2020) so it is not real cute. Several of the shops are closed - we wanted rum cake, but it has moved a few streets over and of course closes at 5 due to Covid. The view of the bridge and view of the US North Carolina are good from the boardwalk. It gives you another thing to do there.

The Riverwalk has a nice view and takes you past several restaurants with outdoor seating (important to us due to COVID). There are also water tours available from there. However, a lot of the shops are on the next street over. Be aware of that if you have not visited before.

Spent a morning exploring Riverwalk. The horse drawn carriage sightseeing is must! So informative and open air. We found 1 breakfast cafe with outdoor seating. As we walked, most stores + restaurants were inside only. Nonetheless it was a quiet scenic walk along historic streets and boardwalk.
