Great vibe without the crunchy granola atmosphere. More hometown and less hype. Lots of unique shops and restaurants, history, theatre, architecture, churches. Fun to just walk and window shop.

Visited the waterfront area on a Monday. Not crowded at all. Got a parking place right on the street. Nice shops and restaurants. Great place for a stroll and to see a nice view of the battleship.

My mom, sister and I had a nice time exploring the downtown area. It wasnt very diverse but the shops were okay. There was a very good, well-known ice cream parlor. The view of the harbor was nice.
