We visited in January and it was a bit chilly, however, the horse drawn carriage and our guide were both personable and entertaining. It is a great way to learn about the town to further explore on your own.

We took the red bus tour of the historic district and really enjoyed it. The driver was very informative and knew about most of the homes and the history. We actually went on a tour, right after this tour, of one of the homes that he showed us. The area is really beautiful and walkable but due to leg issues... More

We really enjoyed the downtown district. The architecture is well preserved. There are many vintage shops to see along the route-as well as many restaurants and bars. A great place to spend the afternoon.

We walked around the Historic District this afternoon. Several large empty buildings and closed shops. Looked all a bit tired!!

There are many different ways to get a different perspective of Wilmington. There are trolley and horse drawn tours, river cruise and spooky walking tours. There are Plantation tours and house and garden tours. All are interesting and tell of different facts of yesterdays and todays. Love the waterfront and nearby bars/restaurants and entertainment.Too many people visit and then stay.... More

I liked that there were so many things to do one right next to another on Front st. We did several, left, and as we were leaving saw other venues we read about on Trip Advisor, parked and saw more. The metered parking must be fed every hours. I suggest a lit, do you don't have to go feed the... More

Great area with history and beautiful homes. Take the horse and buggy tour! Then you can go back and walk around on your home. And if you go during Christmas time, the lights on the homes in the evening are wonderful

This area is beautiful, clean and safe. There are beautiful old homes, churches and other attractions. You can take a tour by horse cart which is very interesting and informative.

The horsedrawn carriage ride in Wilmington is very enjoyable and you can learn a lot about the history of Wilmington. Our tour guide was great, he never stopped talking and had a wealth of information. A very nice feature of this carriage ride is that the horses are rescue horses, which I thought made it even more special. This is... More
