Very welcoming. Enjoyed every walk and horde carriage ride. It's so beautiful. Also we alled through the Riverwalk.

I am lucky enough to live in the area. Our family really enjoys the river walk in the afternoons. The USS North Carolina battleship is the perfect backdrop as the sun goes down across the Cape Fear river. I highly recommend a visit.

Downtown, right near the waterfront wooden bridge, there is a carriage ride which takes one through a tour of historic downtown Wilmington. We were awed by the carriage ride going through many historic houses and buildings and even more by the uniqueness with which each house has been built and maintained. The current owners have delightfully decorated the exteriors and... More

Even though I was born and raised in Wilmington it is a delight to occasionally visit the historical section which is where I grew up. It is amazing to see what they have done in renovating the historical district in preserving history. Wilmington has one of the neatest historical district I have visited anywhere and I encourage anyone to take... More

The downtown had history, but it was very crowded the night were there. Lots of people walking down the street. Parking was $7, and it didn't matter if you were there for 1 hour or 5 hours on the weekend. Lots of interesting shops.

Lots of shops and restaurants with local products. There are plenty of history tours, ghost tours, and even a Hollywood walk to see where various films and TV shows were filmed. Very family oriented.

Love old downtown Wilmington. You can park the car and walk all day long! There is a three level parking garage right downtown so no need to ark on the street if you'd feel safer in a garage. So many places to eat and walking on the river walk I just enchanting! Very easy to see why so many TV shows... More
