My wife, my sisters, my brother in law, and I were in the area to attend a wedding. We had an afternoon to fill the day before the wedding so we booked a zipline tour with Carolina Canopy Tours. My wife and I had previous experience, but the rest of the family were first-timers.
Keith and Bailey provided us with sturdy harnesses, plyable gloves, a bottle of cold water and helmuts for our adventure. Both Keith and Bailey were very knowledgeable, providing clear instruction so that our experience would be safe, memorable fun. Keith is a wisecracker and very humorous. The zipline layout was located in beautiful trees and hills. There was a variety of distances and heights, so that each zipline provided a fun experience that built up confidence for the next usually longer and higher zipline. Both Bailey and Keith provided guiding, ancedotes, and special attention to safety while we all had great fun . All of our family had a fine time and hope to return again. Well done Keith and Bailey!

My husband and I selected this cool experience to celebrate his birthday. We were drawn by the fact that this location would be very beautiful and the fact that we could enjoy eleven different zip lines!

We were not disappointed! Our guides, one of the owners, Barbara, checked us in and was willing to hold on to any items we did not want to keep with us or lose while on the course.

Barbara introduced us to our fearless leaders, Justin and Carsen. This married couple was outstanding! Both work full time as school teachers and were extremely capable group leaders. They were very aware of keeping us safe, communicated instructions clearly and a blast to be around.

We joined 5 other guests exploring this beautiful site via zip lines. Each person was enjoyable to share laughter and thrills with.

We both had such a good time that we want to return again another day. I highly recommend this experience for both adults and children. (We had one child in our group and she was really fun to share the experience with- she was more brave than I was😊) Because she didn’t weigh much at all, she did need to partner with one of her relatives to reach enough weight to successfully do two of the zip lines. I thought that looked like fun!

Go check this place out for yourself. You can also picnic or camp there. Several animals, including Rosie the adorable dog, a donkey, a bull and chickens are on site as well.

Barbara, Keith, Ben, and Erin are phenomenal. They really made us feel comfortable and safe. The entire experience was memorable, from hiking to zip lining. The video package was an added bonus. The customer service and hospitality were much appreciated. I’m looking forward to my next visit. Great adventure!

We took our 10 year old granddaughter for her first zip line experience and she loved it! This is a first class operation. Beautiful grounds and fun flying thru the trees. Safety first was their priority and having fun was as well. Keith and Barbara are wonderful people. Trey was awesome as well as our guide. We will be back. John and Wendy.

We had fun. The guides were nice, professional and the course was safe and fun. We bought a groupon so it only cost us $40 each, which is still expensive considering we finished the course in a little over an hour. A big group could stretch the tour out a lot longer, but I would have liked it better if there were more longer zip runs. We were expecting a 2 hour+ tour.

We didn't know this, but they have free tent camping for zipliners. The camping area looked very nice. This could definitely add some value especially if Hanging Rock State Park is full or closed.

Let me begin with a disclaimer by saying this Zip Lining has been on my bucket list for quite awhile. With the Carolina Zipline tour, I was not disappointed.

There were so many great things about this company! To start off the office staff, owners and personnel were amazing. Very friendly and gracious (we got there a bit late as we got lost, it' out there!). Our tour guide for the day was so fun and funny. Of course I was a bit nervous the first ride (wasn't everyone?) and he made us all feel so comfortable and safe, which were were.

This is an event for the entire family. Everyone has a double harness, so unless a tornado comes in while you are zipping and takes down the tree with the line, you are safe.

It was so much fun! I screamed and yelled and whipped it up the whole time, while others just rode along and smiled. I was told by the owner that they have 22 different lines. The tour we were on we went down 13 of them. Many of them were similar, but yet each one was a bit different. Some you had to slow down on by pulling the brake, but most of them the tour guide, who was a BIG guy, stopped you as you naturally slowed down. There was one line that a few people didn't make it up and he was able to walk down and get them as it landed on the ground.

The only downside was I wish some of the lines were HIGHER! So I will look for another zip line tour to take next time for more adventure. I want to go over deep valleys and rivers! This is not that tour. So if you are afraid of heights, don't be too worried. I think the highest line was maybe 40-50 feet. Most of the time you are in the lower part of the trees.

Go and have fun! Oh... and get a groupon like we did and save 50%. The owners had no problem processing them. Just print out the upc code on your groupon, or pull it up on your phone.
Happy Zipping!

Nine extended family members ages 9-60 zip lined this past Saturday with Leigh (?spelling) and Scotty at Carolina Ziplines. It was a wonderful family outing from the moment we arrived until we left planning our return trip. We started the event with lunch we provided but enjoyed on the picnic table provided in a large field overlooking one of the ziplines. Leigh and Scotty tailored the event to our family. They were both personable while keeping safety first on the agenda. Kevin joined us for a zip line racing event adding to the excitement which was already high. We had multiple cameras with us with ample opportunities to use them. With or without the groupon we had, it's a great value, we say the experience was priceless. Quit watching everyone else have all the fun, make yours happen with Carolina Ziplines! They're open year round. I understand they respect and encourage the handicapped from those with oxygen support to those in wheel chairs and even 90 year olds. No excuses left.

We bought a Groupon voucher for the canopy tour at Carolina Zip lines and it was definitely worth the money. Barbara was polite and very helpful when calling to make reservations. We live nearly two hours away and would make the trip again in a heartbeat. Everyone we came into contact with was very friendly! Christian and Grant were our tour guides and are highly recommended by us! We have been zip lining two times before and would rate this the best! We had a great time and will be returning to participate in the lantern tour as soon as possible!

The staff was great and our guides (Scottie and Noah) were awesome. It was such a fun way to spend a cold afternoon with friends in the woods enjoying the wilderness. The guides were very professional and made things fun and easy to do. The ziplines were great and the course took us a good 2 hours to complete. It was nice to be able to zip and truly let go. We will be back in the near future...we may even try the dark tour.

We received a groupon deal certificate from our family as welcome gift visiting NC this summer. Our kids wanted to join as well and so we went with two boys age 6 and 9 August on a pretty summer day.
Carolina Ziplines is easy to find as there are clear signs along the ways close to Hanging Rock State Park. Parking in front of the office we checkied in (please reserve days ahead!!) and we were welcomed by the owner and the 3 men who were our guides of this 9am tour. We got our equipment and met the other 2 participants for the 9am tour.
Off we went right at 9am and we totally enjoyed the 2h tour. We were explained the rules and easy handsigns to follow. 3 things to have in mind when seeing the guides handsigns, having all to do with the breaks. We have been explained that we do not attach ourselves to the ropes, the guides would do so to insure we are all safe. Therefore: we were just to enjoy the number of zipline rides we got and walking "through the trees" always attached for safety reasons. We felt very safe at all times and the guides have been great! Our kids LOVED it, they would have stayed all day if they could. Totally recommend this as single, family, team or other adventure. Take good shoes and some clothing that could get a bit dirty (but really not much) youa re provided with helmets, gloves and all other equipment. Please have in mind, it can be slippy in the area, if it had rained - the tours go with pretty much any weather!
GREAT FUN! Not cheap but unique!
