We visited many years ago and actually visited twice on this visit. So impressed we wanted our son and family to see the frescos and learn about them. We visited Holy Trinity first - so we had already learned extra details from the docent there about St. Mary's being the first church of the Fresco's by Ben Long. It is a rich history of how Father Hodge met Ben Long. Through this meeting, Ben Long's career of doing frescos first in St. Mary's and then in Holy Trinity began. The audio is excellent explaining how each fresco came to be, its significance to the St. Mary's. Take time to look carefully at each fresco to see the "hidden" item Ben Long left in each one and to consider his inspiration of the fresco. In "John the Baptist" the hidden item is a bumble bee. Be sure to visit Holy Trinity to see The Last Supper, hear the audio and visit the basement there.

The other "half" of the two frescos by Ben Long. The other being in Glendale Springs not too far away. Very peaceful and open 24 hours a day. Please take the time to understand the difference between frescos and paintings. These are NOT paintings which makes them more difficult to produce.

We viewed all three churches with frescoes and loved them all. This is a charming little church that is well cared for and clean. Great recorded video presentation on the creation of the frescoe.

I had a dear friend visit lately and decided it was time to visit this church. You do not have to be religious to appreciate the artwork of Ben Long. The stained glass is equally as beautiful as the frescoes. Well with your time.

The three frescoes here done by Ben Long are beautiful. It is incredible to see such frescoes in this country. The stained glass was also great. A wonderful place to see. Be sure to listen to the audio presentation.

I visited Saint Mary's to see the Frescoes painted by Ben Long. If you appreciate art I would highly recommend that you visit. The paintings were created the same way Michelangelo's paintings in the Sistine Chapel. If you are are a Christian I would also highly recommend that you visit. When I saw The Mystery of Faith painting was awesome. The painting will speak to your heart.

I was so excited about seeing the frescoes at St. Mary's but not sure the whole class would share my enthusiasm. But everyone was glad we stopped here! So inspiring and I was awestruck by the beauty of the artwork. So worth stopping to see!!!

We saw Saint Mary’s Church as we left the pumpkin patch and decided to stop in. We were so impressed by the beauty of the stained glass windows that we now take everyone that visits us to see them. There is such a feeling of peace in that little church. Peace and beauty is a great combination.
