No instruction no safety equipment
Jun 2019
Horses were jittery and there was no prior instructions before riding and no helmets.
Did not feel safe and we had younger children with us with riding experience who felt the same way.

A Great Adventure
Nov 2018 • Family
We had so much fun! Best thing to do in Maggie Valley. Our guide was excellent! He knew the horses so well. He would prepare us for each bend by saying, “this horse like to stop for a potty break right here, so don’t let it alarm you” or “he might try to take you under these branches, just pull to the left” it was a perfect ride and my kids felt like real cowboys on an old trail! The views were beautiful! Our family truly had a great adventure here! You don’t want to miss this!

Great memories!
Jul 2018 • Family
We brought our granddaughter to Lake Junaluska, Maggie Valley & Cherokee for the 4th of July. Our Mountain Trail ride at Queen’s Farm was enjoined by all. I had by 1st ride at Queen’s Farm 63 years ago at the age of 13. Our granddaughter had her 1st horseback ride at the age of 11. Thanks “Queen’s Farm” for your hospitality and a great ride! 😊

Horseback riding fun
Jun 2018 • Family
This place is wonderful. We had 4 people in our group. The guide was very friendly and helpful, He talked to my niece nonstop to keep her calm on the horse . Great value for the adventure. We rode for about an hour and a half up and down the mountain with beautiful views . We paid 35 dollars plus an optional tip. The horses were well taken care of and the guide instructed us on the temperment and small quirks of the horses. We had a great time!

1 hour horse ride
Jun 2018 • Family
We had a family of 5, 3 teenagers. Mark was our guide and did an excellent job teaching and being concerned on how comfortable the teenagers were with their horses. He made sure saddles were fitted well and that each rider new their horses name. It was nothing fancy, but they were friendly and the price was affordable. We would enjoy riding with Mark again. He took the time to line us all up to take photo's wit the mountains in the back. Thank you Mark for an enjoyable time!!

This Place should be Shut Down
Oct 2017 • Family
Wow! Where do I start. These horses are treated miserably and our guide was mistreating his to the point she would rare up. Idiot didn't know why his horse was raring. They are underweight and were forced to go on back to back rides up steep un-maintained terrain. The horses are grossly underweight and couldn't wait to get back in their stalls. This place should be shut down. The guide was telling us the barn fell in killing two horses a year ago. They have done nothing to clean it up, and the money they make most certainly does not go to the well being of their horses.

Lovely visit
Oct 2017 • Couples
We read the reviews and were a little hesitant but decided to call. Thankfully we did because they were going to close if we had not made a reservation. We spoke with George Queen owner of the farm and we felt a little easier going. We arrived early for our 10am reservation and watched Shane our guide clean up and saddle the horses we would be taking. Even got to feed them a few treats before leaving. Yes the horses are small, they are not thoroughbreds but by no means malnourished. They are calm and know the trail well. It was a beautiful ride halfway up the mountain. We chose to only do an hour since my honey is not used to horseback riding. $25/person and an hour later and we wished we had done the full trail up to the top of the mountain for an hour and 45 minutes ($35/person). Would defintely go back if in the area.

my wonderful experience !!
Jul 2017 • Family
This by far was the most thrilling but relaxing ride of my life. I have horses of my own too. The horses at Queens were well behaved and cared for. I recommend to first timers and children as well as seasoned riders to ride with Queens Farm Stable

Trail riding
Apr 2017 • Solo
The worst experience ever. These people have no business owning horses! They give poor care substandard accommodations for these animals. Their tack is dangerously out of condition and their trails are in horrible shape! The only thing that saves them from lawsuits is the horses only walk and don't seem to spook. So little chance of needing your tack to be of any use to you.
Just do yourself a favor stay away if you want to ride call one of the other options in town.

Made me waist my time on vacations
Apr 2017 • Family
I hate to waste my time specially when I'm on vacations. We called for a pony ride the guy who answered the phone said they will be open at 12pm. When we get there at 12 o' clock they said: sorry we have a group now and there will be no one left for the pony rides. My daughter was so disaponted, what a terrible experience.
