Needs updating and successful stores there for decades need preservation. Shortys hotdogs has been there for a hundred years and going strong. White street Brewery is newer a nice if you like craft beer. Some like the Cotten company but ....well that’s all I’ll say....More

It is rare to find such a well maintained small town main street and such a nice change from strip malls in suburbia. The shops and cafes are adorable and there are many choices for visitors.

As others have stated, this a quaint place to visit for a few hours. Lots of small stores, nice brewery, etc. We walked around late on a Monday morning and the place was dead quiet. OK for a short visit or a meal.

Downtown Wake Forest is a small and quaint suburb of Raleigh. Several good restaurants and a nice brewery. The shopping is great if you want something unique or specialized. It is a great weekend outing for the family.

Not much to look at, but people were pleasant. A few items of interest for souvenirs. Attended a nice Farmer’s Market that had organic grown/raised items.

We must not have been in the right place based on other reviews of this downtown area. We thought we’d stroll around before heading to dinner elsewhere in Wake Forest, only to find a few closed shops, boarded up store fronts, teens hanging outside the...More
