I enjoyed my kayaking last summer however I recently learned that the company has closed. Unfortunately I am unable to find out how to get a refund on a gift card.

The very welcoming crew members assisted our party to get our three 2-man kayaks launched and off we paddled. We turned the corner and we were amazed! We felt like we had been transported to kayakers heaven. Beautiful shady ponds, lots of green foliage, overhanging boughs made the journey more than wonderful. We cannot wait to return - highly recommend!

I already own a canoe and sea kayak, but I haven’t gotten my newish car racks set up, but didn’t want to miss out on a beautiful fall day paddling. I could rent my solo sit-on-top online with Paddle Creek for a specific date/time, and even completed the waiver online. So I could walk right up, hop in a boat, get helped into the pond by the extremely helpful staff, without doing any more paperwork! As beautiful as Robertson millpond is, it is also very curvy and can be narrow. If you’re new to paddling, be patient with yourself! If you don’t have a lot of physical strength, don’t push yourself either, have fun. I use to guide paddling trips, so just so you know, sit-on-tops are very stable, easy to get in and out of, and don’t easily tip. And if you’re going with someone else, especially a romantic partner, rent solo boats. There’s a reason tandem canoes and kayaks are called divorce boats...I saw a couple leaving as I was arriving, and they were not speaking to each other...folks with different strengths can have a tough time maneuvering in open water, let alone a narrow, curvy pond...And I took my own advice..didn’t paddle in a boat with my partner, either.

First time kayaking. Great time with a Paddle Creek on their “Short Trip”. 1 1/2 hours to go about 3 miles down the Neuse River, from the dam to Capital Blvd. The River is running low and slow, but we rented a tandem kayak and had a great time communing with nature and enjoying the scenery. Would do it again, too!

I use Paddle Creek a couple times year for our Church Retreats. We use them for offsite boat rentals as well as trips down the river. The staff is always great, equipment is well kept and they are very accomodating. This year I emailed them very late for what we normally do and they still made it happen and were very flexible in all areas. A++++++, highly recommend them
