Riverfront Park is a wonderful park to picnic or just enjoy the sunrise. It has excellent wood deck/nature trail that takes you out onto the salt marshes. Many plaques characterize the wildlife that you can see. Great place to relax. There is a great deal of educational material around to learn a lot about the area. Enjoy.

The town invested quite a lot to build this waterfront walkway that goes into the historic village. I only wish they could have extended it through the waterfront of the town itself. People enjoy fishing here. It also helps with parking on the outskirts and taking the waterfront walk into the village.

Nice place to chill and enjoy the view of the White Oak river....Has a nice parking lot, and one can walk over from downtown.

The photo is wrong. It shows a private residential dock. The real riverfront park is called Bicentennial Park.

This park was a pleasant surprise.. Pulled over by accident with my daughter while we where traveling to Jacksonville and honestly I was tacking back. The park is free and not crowded at all. They have picnic tables so we grabbed lunch and ate out there. It seem like a cool place to take your spouse too for date night,or even a great location just to sit out by yourself and enjoy the solitude. The park offer Beautiful sceneries with seats on the dock, and a great location to take photos. Only negative thing I can think of is it's location, there's condos right next to the park however it's really not that bad. I will defiantly be returning next time with my husband though! Lol

If you need a minute to take a break and spend some time on the water this is the best place to go. If you're in the Swansboro area, stop by and take a stroll.

My family and friends that come to town during the holidays always get a chance to see this area because we always watch the floatilla from this location. Come early though as parking is sometimes difficult to get but will worth the trouble.
