This was the best sabbatical I have ever been on! Shelby from the charity I volunteer for mentioned this cute, quaint coastal archipelago, normally beachy vibes ( I'm used to my upper-class country clubs and golf courses with butlers)
aren't my gig but this was absolutely positively splendid. The kith and kin loved it here, my little anna beth had a blast playing the mini gold ( it was a nice change from tennis) she said she wants to have her debutante here. My son timothy was so well behaved and caught a shark off the pier it was the biggest one ever and he did it all by himself (he is only 3). We rented paragliders and loved it so much we bought 4 for all of us and even bought the company!! Anyway, we had a bash, ta ta!

During our weekend visit, the restaurant attached to the pier was closed. We were able to walk the pier and watch the waves. It’s peaceful and you can walk out far enough to where you don’t hear the waves breaking on shore. It’s pretty quiet. It’s a nice place to visit and photo shoot.

they are high priced from their food to their fishing equipment, they think since you are in there they got you and they do...better piers on the island

My family loves coming here, fishing is great. The best time to come and fish in my opinion is late summer/early spring. Sept when the water temp gets colder you will kill fish on diamond jigs and gotcha plugs.

The Pier is clean and was a lot of fun for the kids. They really enjoy seeing some of the fish caught while we walked on the pier. They do charge a $1 to walk on the pier. It was well worth the money.

This pier is right in the middle of the island as you come across the swing bridge. They have everything you need or you can find it within two blocks. They charge $10 per rod where the Jolly Rodger pier (about 4 miles south) is $14 for two rods.

I will never make the mistake of spending a single dollar in Surf City. I rented an Airbnb room and it was nice. Then I parked on a street that had no outlet zero traffic and the police wrote me a parking ticket. There was nothing stating parking was not allowed and I parked in front of an area that was just a scrub lot. The ticket cost $50. They have lost over $500 in tourist revenue from me, I will scratch Surf City from the list of any place I will visit. I will NEVER VISIT SURF CITY again, that $50 ticket will cost them at least $500 in tourist revenue just from me and of course I will share my opinion with anyone interested in listening!

Excellent views of the ocean, great for nice views at sunset and people watching. $1 is charged for admission with some of the money going towards maintenance/restoration of the pier. Definitely worth a short visit

937 feet of an amazing pier. It only costs $1 per spectator which was really nice since we were not fishing, just wanted to check it out. Free parking too. King Mackarel fishermen at the end of the pier made it really fun to watch. Everyone is super friendly and will talk to you. Seems like some folks are 'regulars' and know each other very well. Family friendly location (no alcohol allowed anywhere on premises).
