Easy access to this vineyards is right off of Hwy 21 (heading to North Carolina's Stone Mountain State Park), near Elkin. This is also only a few minutes detour off of I-77 for those traveling the Ohio to FL route. Vineyard is set back on an old property that used to be a dairy farm. Cute tasting room is in... More

We stopped in here a couple of years ago and stopped back on our recent visit. Love the tasting room host - very information and was kind enough to tell me "the cow story" again - be sure to ask about it. Good wines. Pretty tasting room. They have onside cabins for rent as well.

Grassy Creek wins my award for best restoration, product branding and conversion of space. The attention to detail of the space will win over your heart, even before sipping the wines. The wines offer a little bit of everything for everyone’s palette.

Of all of the NC wineries we've been to over the last 3 years and thie weekend this was our favorite. Great wines, great live music (harpist and violinist) and over the top hospitality. Joyce and.her husband the tasting room manager made this a truly wonderful experience. Even though they are supposed to close at 5pm on Sunday, we were... More

We hit this at our first of 5 wineries and this one came away as our favorite for both the location and the wines. The staff was friendly and helpful. We tried several wines and enjoyed a glass sitting out front. The old barn was nice would love to come back when they have live music ans spend more time... More

Staff was super friendly and cabins were very clean. Hanes cabin has a fridge and a sink with a microwave but no dining area. These cabins are a hunter's dream!!!

Grassy Creek is a great example of variety, both of types of wines and budget. Loved hearing about the history, a very relaxed setting.

The old barn and dairy farm are a great touch and the story of the Farm is very interesting. Beautiful setting and the tasting room was very nice. We just were not that impressed with their wine. It wasn't bad but just okay. We did not buy any of their wine which only happened 2 or 3 times out of... More

Of the 5 Yadkin Valley wineries we visited (Shelton, Raffaldini, McRitchie, Elkin Creen and here) this was by far the least tasty wine. The place is a decent size, cute and had live music on a Saturday in October, so those are pluses. Service a bit slow, but not too bad. Their $8 bread - we did not have it,... More
