We had an incredible time on our blackwater kayak tour. Jeff is an awesome guide! We had a group that varied in ages and ability levels and Jeff accommodated everyone wonderfully. Jeff is very knowledgeable of both the history of the area and the wildlife that inhabits the area. He pointed out all the wildlife along the trip and took lots of pictures of our tour. We not only had an unforgettable and relaxing tour of a very unique area, but we also gained a lot of interesting knowledge and wonderful memories. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone seeking a few hours of adventure!

Jeff did an awesome job explaining the ecosystem including wildlife, plant, flowers, trees and many interesting facts. His overall knowledge of the area, science and local politics will make sure anyone will find something interesting to talk about with him during the relaxing and well-organized trip. My family and I, including 2 kids, 12 and 14, had a great time.

This was the most beautiful and serene water experience I have ever had. I have taken rafting and boating trips, but this was my first time kayaking. First of all the scenery was breath taking. Jeff shared so much history of the area and his knowledge of the wildlife was incredible. I went with a friend of mine and we had looked at a marsh trip as well. I am so glad we chose this tour! When you vacation at the coast you can always see the marsh. You just need to experience the beauty of the black, glass like swamp. It is like you are in another world. I am looking forward to doing this again, hopefully in the fall to see the different and colorful reflections on the water. Our wonderful tour guide, Jeff, also took some great pictures that he sent to us after our tour. I highly recommend this trip to anyone, beginner or novice!

Jeff was an incredible tour guide. He knew all about the history of the area and told us about the wildlife and the trees and plants . We paddled through a beautiful black water swamp that was very peaceful, the only noises were birds and animals. I will definitely do this again. Jeff says the fall is beautiful with the reflection of the leaves on the water, but each week brings new experiences. This is a MUST DO if you are nearby and don't be afraid if you have never kayaked before. My friend was a "newbie" and had no trouble.

The gorgeous views, the history, the marine life and birds.... all of it, was just gorgeous. Our tour guide, Jeff, was very knowledgeable about the area and it’s history. I believe he callled it “500 years of history in 1 minute!” Haha! The sunset on the water just made our night. I was surprised, as well, that he even took photos of our adventure together and emailed them afterwards. That was a nice treat! Great experience. I would recommend it to anyone, but our girls especially loved it!

Took the sunset cruise with our two children and another family with children. Captain Jeff did an awesome job. We saw dolphins and he stopped so we could watch! Very informative and he even let the kids take turns at "driving" the boat. Very pleased we did the boat tour and would highly recommend to anyone!!!

My bestie and I took the Sunset Cruise around Southport, Oak Island and the Intracoastal Waterway. Our Captain Jeff was so much fun. Knew his history, great sailor and just plain fun. We saw dolphins, deer, amazing sunset and even a full moon all on the same night. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

We had a great trip to Ocean Isle Beach, and one of the highlights was our sunset cruise with Lighthouse Watersports. It was worth the 40 minute drive to Southport for this trip. It was fun and educational at the same time. Jeff (captain and guide) was extremely knowledgeable of the area and made the trip memorable.

I rented a stand-up paddleboard for my weeklong vacation in Sunset Beach and had a great experience. The board was in good shape, the employee who dropped it off was extremely punctual and very friendly, and he made sure I knew how to properly use the board before he left.

I especially appreciated the warning text message I received about 15 minutes before he arrived to drop the board off. One thing I'm curious about is if the board would have been dropped off with no signature if we hadn't been there when he arrived - I've never had to sign for any other rental item (like bikes, from other companies) in the past.

Overall, would definitely rent from them again!

I rented a tandem kayak from Lighthouse during my recent beach trip...the kayak was waiting for me at the beach house upon my arrival as scheduled, and was picked back up by Lighthouse the day we left. No hassles whatsoever, and the price was exactly as stated on their website. Would definitely recommend.
