New greens and some bunker revisions - Great Track

I have played here many times and it is fun for everyone. Challenging if you go back too far, but if you pick the correct tee it is a very enjoyable round. The staff and practice areas are excellent. A great treat. The halfway house (on the 9th Tee) has a great chicken salad and wonderful hot dogs too. The... More

Had the pleasure of playing this fine golf course. My wife surprised me with a gift certificate to enjoy a round When you arrive you will find that you are about to enjoy a wonderful golf experience. The staff is professional and attentive. The pro shop is solid. They know how to make you feel important Once on the course... More

Got to the golf course a little bit early at Pine Needles went to the range and hit free range balls. The putting green was in good shape. Things were going smooth. The starter paired us up with a nice couple from Florida and we started off a nice day. The fairways were wide and in good shape. The greens were really... More

Great course. Wide fairways. Well kept. Loved the old school feel of the clubhouse. Food is good. Sevice is horrible! I would definitely play here and recommend to anyone. Go somewhere else for lunch or dinner though.

A wonderful old style course and clubhouse with outstanding character and charm. Food is very good but the service is a bit slow. Reasonably priced and a great place for an afternoon snack and drink.

We played Pine Needles. It is an awesome course. Difficult greens, flowing fairways and tough putting was the order of the day. It was a beautiful day for golf. I would play this course again. The service was poor. The starter was ineffective. He said they were packed on the tee sheet. He sent us off 5 minutes sooner and... More

Course was outstanding. Great layout in great condition. You can see right away why this course has held USGA majors. If you play I would highly recommend Doug Christenson as a single bag caddie. Very personable, easy to talk to, and throw jokes around with. That alone would have made the round as enjoyable as any I've ever played in.... More

I can recommend this course without reservation to any visitor or local. It's a superb layout, challenging but fair from any tee set, consistently in near-ideal condition, and with an efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. Besides balls at the range, resort guests and paid players can enjoy a fun practice loop of four holes (three Par 3's and one Par... More

Always a thrill to play another Donald Ross course in the Sandhills. I particularly like the par 3s. They are challenging, yet offer the ability to grab a par. As most Ross courses, the greens are the challenge. The course is not a real estate course where homes are packed into both sides of the fairway. Visually, the homes are... More

This golf course plays at 6400 yds. from the back tees and is truly a championship venue as evidenced by its hosting the U.S. Women's Open. The public can play Pine Needles by booking an overnight stay in what I would describe as lodging suitable for royalty. My partner and I got the opportunity to play Pine Needles thru a... More
