We visited during a kiln opening, it was awesome. Ben was working on so every large pots. While he was working he was incrediblely gracious, answered people's questions and continued to work on his piece. All his folks are well educated about his work and very friendly. This is a cool destination

Off NC 705, but easy to reach and worth the search. Good variety of styles and other artistic finds on site. Also read about the history of the family in the pottery industry.

We visited this business late on a Saturday afternoon and came away better educated on the pottery business but more importantly with a great appreciation for the skills and soul of an award winning potter that is Mr. Ben Long III, a third generation pottery maker. We met Ben working at his wheel and watched him for about 20 minutes... More

This is a beautiful venue to showcase Ben Owen's fantastic pottery. There is also a small pottery museum on site, as he is the third generation of potters in his family.

Ben's gallery, workshop, and museum are not to be missed. He's a 3rd generation potter and has studied all over the world. The museum is in Ben's Grandfather's original workshop adjacent to the gallery and contains wonderful examples of his Grandfather's work. Also, Ben's evolution as an artist in design and glazes is also on exhibit. His work is sold... More

Visited the Ben Owens Studio this weekend. Met Ben the 3rd in his studio. He was working at the wheel and was kind & enthusiastic to answer my questions that I'm sure he hears a thousand times per week. The gallery was filled with beautiful pieces and along with historical ones from the iconic, multi-generations family of potters from this... More

This was our third stop of the day. As we stepped inside, the lady in the beautiful gallery made us aware that we could go into the next building and watch Ben making pottery. We watched him put a huge 45 inch piece. Ben was so friendly, talking all as he worked. It was an amazing experience to watch him... More

We visited several potters today, and while this place had some nice stuff, it was the most expensive of all the potters we visited.
