It is definitely closed. The building looks unchanged from last year and the marquee is missing half its letters.

It seems to be permanently closed. The place looks a bit run down and the marquee says closed (albeit with letters missing)

Very kid and family friendly. Easy to find right on highway 64. Kids and grandparents dug right in had fun and learned something. We left with bags of discovered gems and of course ice cream and fudge.

We had a WONDERFUL time at Sapphire Gem Mine & Sweet Shop! Great job Steve with teaching us so much about gems. Our group of eight had ice cream, candy, and enjoyed searching for awesome gems!
