Overview
More
The Sapphire Sweet Shop and Gem Mine takes visitors back to the olden days. Our mine is set under a canopy of trees and alongside a running stream. We are not plopped in a parking lot along the side of a busy road. We cater to families and assure that each and every person who walks onto our property has a great time at a reasonable price. The sweet shop is an old timey candy shop which looks the part and carries a line of hand-dipped chocolates, ice cream and retro candies. Out back you will find picnic areas, a log amphitheater and 4 primitive campsites.

We LOVED gem mining here at the Sapphire Sweet Shop and Gem Mine! We come to Sapphire Valley every summer, and gem mining is always top on my kids' list of things to do. Previously, we've driven all the way past Franklin, to a mine,...More

Very kid and family friendly. Easy to find right on highway 64. Kids and grandparents dug right in had fun and learned something. We left with bags of discovered gems and of course ice cream and fudge.

I took my wife and two daughters (14 and 6) to the Sweet Shop and Gem Mine, and we started with $20 buckets of gems for each girl. I've hit other mines in the mountains, and this had a better selection and size of gem...More

We had a WONDERFUL time at Sapphire Gem Mine & Sweet Shop! Great job Steve with teaching us so much about gems. Our group of eight had ice cream, candy, and enjoyed searching for awesome gems!
