This is definitely an exhilarating adventure! The zip lines are up in the tree canopy with some amazing views of the beautiful surrounding mountains. There is also a short sky bridge and three rappel lines to the ground. Our guides Emily and Dillon were great, very professional, safety oriented and friendly. It was about 3 hours total, mostly we had delays waiting on a large group ahead of us, we only had four in our group. It is definitely a workout, make sure you read the description and understand exactly what it entails. This was the first zip line I have done with this breaking system, it’s quite a jolt and abrupt stop at the end of the zip, I can see the safety advantages, just be prepared. It was a bit warm in August, I would love to do this in the fall or spring. The woods have many rhododendron bushes too so when they bloom I am sure it’s beautiful.

We were three ladies on a girls trip-2 excited about zip lining and one not so. After she talked to a delightful woman at the desk about her fears and concerns, she felt more at easy about giving zipping a try. The 3 of us ended up in a group with 4 other women who we bonded with in a very short time and had an experience we will be talking about for years. ( even the apprehensive one left smiling, saying, “I’d do that again”). This was all fostered by our very competent guides, Emily and Tiaga. We were all impressed with their detail to safety, their ability to gear us up and teaches the things to do and not to do, and to entertain us all at the same time. Both Emily and Tiaga picked up on the individuals who needed special attention or considerations and adjusted to those needs without calling attention to them. Their experience and expertise at what they do shines through!!!! Can’t say enough great things about them. We would recommend this zip line company and especially this guide team to anyone.

I went with 4 friends, and we all had a great time. One of us was a little scared to do it, but she loved it, too. I recommend going! I will be back when my daughter weighs enough. The range is 70 to 250 pounds. Christian and the other guide (sorry to forget his name) were wonderful in their jobs. At the time of writing, it was $103 per person and $35 extra for photos that the guides took of our group (which we could share).

The whole experience was a lot of fun. John & Adam were both fantastic guides. I took my 13 year old for his birthday & I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get outdoors and be adventurous.
The company is taking precautions due to COVID-19 and I was very impressed at how professional they all were about it. Everyone wore their mask properly & didn't let the need for it affect the experience.
Thank you to John & Adam for an amazing day!

This was by far the best zip lining experience! It was a real deal! The zipstop breaking system allows you to go so fast all the way! The rappels were such a thrilling addition, the views were gorgeous and our guides Luke and Bowden made our zip lining so much fun! Both young men were confident and professional. Luke took great pictures and Bowden went back twice to "rescue" our 10 year old daughter who was just slightly too light to get close enough to be locked into padded log. It was extra work for Bowden, but extra fun for our daughter who smiled from ear to ear and enjoying the view :)

I would give this a zero if I could. Our guide had an attitude and was super nasty the first few ziplines. Then she encouraged my daughter to leave by saying are you sure you want to continue it gets really high after this and told her it was her last chance to leave even though found out later it wasn't. Then they refused to give me a refund even though I was at the other end of the zip and was not a part of the conversation. Then she suddenly wasn't being rude after my daughter left. I'm assuming she just didn't want to deal with someone who needed more assistance. The other reviews are correct as well. The stop is super hard and they don't want you to assist at all which is kind of annoying but I'm sure there's reason behind it. Honestly we've done a lot of ziplining this is the worst one I've even been to. My daughter busted her lip which was why she was crying and the guide didn't even ask instead just booted her off. Do not come here.

(2) Scout Leaders trying to outdo (5) teenage Boy Scouts over (11) zip lines + swing bridge & most heart pumping (3) 100'+ rappelling "Drops". Views were incredible....no effort other than step off the platform....the equipment & our (2) AWESOME Guides Nathan & Casey did it all. Best 3 hours of the weekend. Our boys told all their friends @ school & fellow Scouts. Do this!

The experience could have been much better. When they first greeted us, our guides didn't actually welcome us or show any warmth or enthusiasm; the male guide just started talking at us and making odd jokes. It took a while to learn their names.
Instructions weren't always clear. For instance, one needs to hold their legs up on the little ground school zip, but NOT on the regular zips - but the guides didn't clarify that. Warning: the harness hurts badly if one holds their legs up on the fast zips!
When I asked what speed riders attain, our male guide sarcastically told us it was 100 mph. I couldn't tell whether he believed that or not. There were several seconds of awkward silence before he gave a different answer that may or may not have been accurate. That did a lot to erode our confidence in him as well as our comfort. We didn't appreciate his morbid jokes or the strange emphasis on posing and showing off for the camera. All very distracting from a beautiful location. It would have been really nice to learn more about the trees (types, heights, etc.) to appreciate the experience more.

This was an amazing and challenging experience. Apparently the ziplining that I have done in the past was not real. This was real zipling. I am 46 and zipped with two 13 year old girls. We all loved it! It was about 4 hours from start to finish.
It was very evident from the time we signed in, that the company was very big on safety and educating you on your experience.
The most important part of this experience for me were the guides that accompany you. This is a very exhilarating experience and could be very scary without the right people. Thankfully, one out of the two guides were exceptional. Ben definately made up for all the short comings of his partner. I just think the other guide was lacking in experience and maturity.
Ben made us feel safe. He was very knowledgable about the area and had a love for the forest and the environment. He was full of information. Ben had a way of putting you at ease and giving you tips along the way. There were definately some challenges due to rain and the little orange platforms that you need to get on after every zip. This is definately a physical activity and tips are helpful if you have any limitations. I would definately request Ben again if we ever return.
If you are questioning if you can do this, definately do it. They will get you through it and you will be happy that you did. If you thrive on adventure, then this is definately for you!!

This was an experience of lifetime. From beginning to end; the staff was extremely professional and helpful with the booking process (answering and questions/concerns I had). Our tour guides Zif and Michael work excellent together; very knowledgeable, made us feel safe and have a great sense of humor which made the trip even more fun!
The views are breathtaking. My boyfriend and I were nervous but after a while the adrenaline kept the momentum going and it was very invigorating! We had no time to be scared.
The facility at The Gorge is super clean (restrooms, lounge, lobby, etc.).
Worth driving 2hrs and we will be retuning again.
Highly recommend coming to The Gorge!!!

Is it open the week after Christmas?
Written June 12, 2019
Yep! The Gorge is open from December 26th through January 1st. And, we offer a champagne zips on New Year’s eve and New Year’s day!

With a fully booked group, plan on being on the zip course for 3 hrs, and plan for 3.5 - 4 hours door to door. If you happen to be with a smaller group the trip can run more quickly.

we always allot 4 hours. That's because we get there a little before and enjoy the couches and watching a group before us leave. I recommend the early morning zip - less noise. (Sometimes you get a rowdy "whoo hoo" group ahead of you or right after and it can detract.)
